Uh, yes always. There's a reason the AP and Coaches don't award their trophies during the season.

I agree with it being based on the ranking of the team at the time the game is played. If LSU plays and beats a top 5 aTm team that goes on to lose 2 or 3 close games against other top 10 teams in their own division, it doesn't make the importance of that game at that time less significant...or the team any worse.

There are several good uses for game ranking. End of year tells you more in this case.

I'm not looking at that. Just tell us which ranked team(s) A&M has beaten at Kyle Field since joining the SEC. Thanks.

He provided you with a link. Even though he can't read titles, he apparently can read lists.

A&M beat Vandy at Kyle in 2013, and Vandy finished the year ranked in 2013.

Never thought I would agree with you Korin. Like in 2011, we like to say how many ranked teams LSU beat, but that's counting Auburn, and Florida, which no offense is laughable. 27-21 is still pretty good for Miles non the less.

Vandy in 2013. They finished 22nd, and A&M beat them at Kyle Field.

Ranking at time should count. That one loss could actually be the diff in a team being ranked or not at the end of the season. Is there really a diff than being 28 or 25?

LSU didn't end up ranked last season, but one of the close losses turn into a win and they end up ranked.

Well, this is certainly something for aTm fans to hang their hat on.

Kyle Field = GOAT

Not at all. Despite the fact that A&M has the same record as LSU over the last 3 seasons, and more top 5 finishes, and has far exceeded expectations, our home record against ranked teams is very disappointing.

That being said, you should be willing to admit you were wrong with more grace.

Anyone want to post LSU's record excluding the final 2 minutes of games we lost since 2009?

Just how bad a beatdown will it take for LSU fans to stop trying to come up with ridiculous facts to make them feel better?

Hogs are so in your head that you barely even think of corndogs.

Nobody denies that Arkansas totally sucked since Petrino's wreck. Nobody with half a brain denies that the hogs are putting things back together in a very solid and sustainable way.

If Less by Miles was my coach...I'd be in a butthurt panic also, so I mostly feel sorry for you.

Talk back when 4net actually gets to double digit career yards vs. Arkansas' defense.

Not really.

2005, LSU loses in OT to #10 ranked Tennessee, Tenn goes on to finish the season 5-6.

Tennessee should not be considered a top-10 loss for LSU in 2005. They sucked, the pollsters were simply wrong on Tennessee in the beginning of 2005.
