We all lose with this news.

this will change, mark my words, the conference will realign to a north - south configuration or a south and deep south config as I like to call it.

When this happens the game will have to swing between north cities like St Louis and Nashville and south cities, like NO and Jacksonville. I know it sounds far fetched, just like 4 years ago an SEC Mizzou and Aggie team sounded..

No envy. I live in Dallas. You're barking up the wrong tree with that shite.

Why there when Baseball Heaven is in the SEC's backyard?

Would be great. Plus Ball Park Village is finally open. Could be a lot of fun.

Plus the 40 foot HD screen inside is great for watching games.

Rooftop seating

Great place to watch a game. If the Rams stick around I hope they hire the same people for their new stadium.

If it was truly about playing in the best stadium, why not go to Jerry's World every year.

Because the best NFL stadium is going to be located in Atlanta in 2017.

Because that place sucks arse. Generic NFL dome surrounded by miles of parking lot. Most overrated CFB experience ever.

The SEC Championship is Atlanta's event. They built it, promoted it and made it what it is today.

Have been to many as I lived in Atlanta for over ten years. Atmosphere is boring as hell. Nothing special about having it in Atlanta. Both Nashville and New Orleans are much more fun for an event like this. Should be rotated around the conference.

Totally agree with this. Oregon vs LSU pregame was one of the most boring tailgates I've had. Atlanta was much more hospitable. Would like to see it in New Orleans, but I don't think that's going to happen.

The stadium looks nice, but LOL at the pic of the outside of the Plus Ball Park Village and the inside with the 40 food screen that both say "Fox Midwest"

No, it shouldn't. Atlanta is a centrally located place for 11 of the 14 teams in the conference. In 3 years the Georgia Dome will be replaced with the most state-of-the-art stadium in the United States. Why move away from that? And why leave it for a stadium like the Superdome?

I'm cool with it, as long as y'all build a new stadium. I like ATL and it's probably the best location for the SECCG, but No offense.... I can't stand the Ga Dome. When are they planning on building that?

The game will never be played outside. Quit saying places like Nashville. Plus, Atlanta is about to have the best stadium in the nation.

You can rule out MLB parks for the SEC baseball tournament: After the Rangers hosted the Big XII and left the field pretty chewed up, MLB told clubs that they wouldn't be setting up schedules to accommodate college post-season tournaments anymore.

The SEC with A&M and the state of Texas is a different animal.

It really isn't, not in the way you are imagining.

You added TV sets and we added a quality program. If you think you're top dawg and we now aim to please you guys because "by golly we're Texas!!!!" then you are just delusional

As we've talked about in other threads, the addition of the National College Football Hall of Fame to the compact area near the Ga. Dome that includes the attractions listed below, makes Atlanta the top destination in the world for college sports fans and their families:

These are all within easy walking distance of the Dome...

The Georgia Aquarium
College Football Hall of Fame
World of Coca-Cola
Center for Civil and Human Rights
Georgia World Congress Center
Centennial Olympic Park
(includes the seasonal ice skating rink, several concert stages etc.)
The Children's Museum of Atlanta
Ferris Wheel
Philips Arena
The Tabernacle
The New Atlanta Streetcar Line that will allow easy access to... MLK, Jr. National Historic Site, Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church & the Sweet Auburn Market among just a few stops, plus shopping & access to 35 hotels...
CNN Headquarters
New Falcons Stadium opening in 2017

Plus there is direct train service to the airport, Buckhead, and the Perimeter area where there's tons of lodging, shopping and dining.

Why does an OM fan care where the SEC championship is played in any sport?

Is Matt Ryan saying "Get the frick off my field"? Didn't that game end with Carolina simply missing the game winning FG?
