I just don't see UT making the tournament.

Why not? They have everything the committee is looking for in a tournament team. They have the signature win (Florida), some decent wins to back that up (Wichita State, Kentucky, Alabama, UMass), few bad losses (only bad loss is to Georgia), and a good non-conference SOS and decent RPI. They're in very good shape for now. They still might screw that up in the final few games, but they've been playing well recently and I think that they can definitely win their last three games.

If Alabama or Ole Miss gets in, it's a joke.

LSU would have to win out and make the championship game to even be in the conversation.

Swayze's gonna be mad when UT gets in over Ole Miss.

Vols have wins over UK and Florida and will probably beat Mizzou at home.

So if UT got in with likely having no more than 21 wins (if that) wouldn't be a joke?

I'm sure they will blow a game down the stretch anyway

Tennessee played a tough non-conference schedule. Ole Miss played a pathetic non-conference schedule.

Less wins against better competition usually beats more wins against worse competition.

Go look at Tennessee's non-conference schedule, then go look at Ole Miss'.

Ole Miss has 20 wins already because they beat up scrubs in the non-conference. And the two decent teams they played, Indiana St. and MTSU, beat them.

Tennessee deserves to be in over Ole Miss, but I think Ole Miss loses at LSU in their final game anyway, so it'll probably be a moot point.

Does Ole Miss beating them twice this year come into play at any point in your idiotic diatribe?

No Big East team at 11 -4 or even at 10-8 would be left out.

Lets make sure we get 10 Big East teams and 5 Atlantic 10 teams.

This is too damn funny.

I don't expect OM to make the tourney FWIW.

So by this logic, the SEC schedule should be a two-game slate against the same team, and whichever team wins both games, that team gets in the NCAA tourney? Shouldn't take the other 4 months worth of games into consideration?

Yeah, cool, y'all beat Tennessee twice. Credit is due. But you played NOBODY in the non-conference before those two games, and you lost to Texas A&M and South Carolina after those two games. And while Tennessee's RPI is higher, those wins over the Vols still aren't top-50 wins.

Both of you have bad losses, but Tennessee beat Wichita State, Xavier, UMass, Kentucky and Florida. Ole Miss' wins don't come anywhere close to that with the one quality win coming against Missouri. And Tennessee didn't crap the bed against South Carolina.

Just my opinion that, as of now, Tennessee's body of work is better. That could change depending on what happens these last two weeks, but right now, UT>Ole Miss.

Hey man, frick basketball. I just think it's silly to have a 30 game schedule when only the last 10 seem to matter.
