You could make an argument that four SEC teams should be included in an 8-team playoff this year.

FSU, Ohio State, Stanford and Okie Lite can join the SEC party.

"probably not as good as tOSU."

Thats why Vegas would have Auburn favored over OSU. Myopia yep thats probably it.

OSU shouldn't be penalized for winning all of their games. They should be penalized for scheduling Buffalo and SDSU when half of their in-conference schedule is basically FCS-level.

there's pretty much no scenario where an undefeated or one loss SEC champ is left out of a four team playoff.

No shite molu did u figure that out on your own?

What about the undefeated team that loses to the one loss team in the SECCG by a 2 point conversion and a bad call?

FIFY

Allowing 602 yards, 29 first downs, and 469 yards passing to a 8-4 Texas A&M team that lost to every single ranked team it played is unacceptable. Being tied 28-28 with a mediocre Georgia team at home in the 4th qtr and needing a miracle play to win is not impressive. Barely beating a MSU team that finished 6-6 is not impressive.

LSU also dominated them the whole game but yes, Auburn lost that game.

the SEC has been kinda terrible out of conference this year. Auburn has a number of close wins against mediocre teams and a 2 TD loss to a good but not elite LSU team. SEC bias carries weight. Auburn's name is still meaningful because they won a NC only three seasons ago. But they have just not had as good of a season as tOSU and do not deserve a shot.

MU has been pretty good most of the year and is generally under-appreciated compared to Auburn especially (again IMO because of name recognition and Auburn's more recent significant success) but they still have a loss on their schedule and have drawn a pretty easy slate from teh SEC East.

If Michigan State were to beat tOSU they would deserve (but not get) as much consideration as teh winner of the Auburn/MU game

Do u really believe OSU would be undefeated with Auburn's schedule?

How many SEC schools would be undefeated if they played FSU's or OSU's schedule?

If Auburn had won all their games, it wouldn't matter.

Same can be said for Alabama.

exactly

credit Auburn for incredible growth and a great season in which they gutted out some close wins. but if you know their season you know they have been very fortunate (2 near miracle plays against UGA and Alabama) and have struggled with some mediocre to bad teams... and they were beaten by two touchdowns by a good but not elite LSU team.

I love how LSU fans NOW think a 1 loss team is clearly more deserving than an undefeated team when 2 years ago you thought a 1 loss Alabama team had absolutely no business being in the conversation with 1 loss Okie State.

It wouldn't, but if we *truly* are wanting to pick the two best teams, Auburn has proved they are better than OSU. Beating one ranked team during your season should not get you to the 'ship IMO.

They are 12-1 with their last two wins over the previous 2 time undefeated NC and against the 5th ranked team on a neutral field?

But yet we are to believe OSU is the better team?

I never thought this.

But I do have a problem with a team that loses to a team on their home field and finishes third in their conference getting a rematch and a freaking "BYE" for losing at home vs a 1 loss conference champion that lost the same day a tragedy hit their school to a clearly inferior team.

But thats just me I dont speak for all of the SEC.

Yes, LSU won all their games and then made the title game like they should have. Thanks for proving my point.
