State probably has more talent than all but 2-3 teams in the conference this year. Stans can roll the ball out and they'll beat the shite out of teams like Ole Miss.

Of the three teams you mentioned, which were in post season tourneys?

Unlike you Rebel fans we live I the present, not the past.

This thread is talking about THIS season. I also mentioned 3 new players for THIS season.

how so? Plenty of objective observers have noted the talent on this year's roster.

Unless those 3 new players can also coach then it won't matter.

Ole Miss has a McDonald's AA, but his talents will probably be wasted because AK much like Stans cannot coach.

NIH, I heard the same stuff about the football team.

The problem with that is this is the most talent State has had in 7-8 years. You know...when Stans actually won an SEC title. Novel thing in Oxford, I know.

Didn't say they could do better....

NIH, you remember there are no more divisions, Arky just hired one hell of a coach, Bama will be tough, UK might be untouched in SEC play, and even Vandy will field a tougher team. Not happening.

The only teams with similiar talent are UK & Florida. Bama is right there. Arkansas isn't going to be a factor for another couple of years.

Mississippi State worries me until I look across the court and see that Stans is coaching. The only coach that gets less out of talent is Andy Kennedy.

You can't underestimate Arky. No one knows what they'll look like, but they have a distinct advantage at head coach.

Yeah, if only we could have a guy who could lead us to five wins over two years.

After watching the replay of the UK Blue/White scrimmage last night I would have to agree with him. He looks a lot bigger than last year and much more refined offensively.

He looked like a beast on the floor.

Granted, some on here will harp it is only a scrimmage against his teammates, but consider that there is probably 5 NBA players on the floor last night...and the majority of them could be lottery picks.

Gilchrist is a stud as well.

As opposed to being "coached" to 0 wins?

With one of those wins at the expense of Stans.

A guy from my hometown who is a DIEHARD LSU fan couldn't pick Trent Johnson out of a lineup.
