A schools ability to excel past it's primary coach is a clear indication of stability

UK - Rupp = NCAA banners with Hall + Pitino + Smith + Calipari
UNC - Smith = NCAA banners with McGuire + Williams
Duke - Coach K = NONE
UCLA - Wooden = NCAA banner with Harrick
Indiana - Knight = NCAA banners (note plural) with McCracken
Kansas - Allen = NCAA banners with Brown + Self
Louisville - Crum = NCAA banner with Pitino

Take away Sam Gilbert and UCLA never hits a top gear
Take away coach K and Duke has yet to win a banner
