AU has 5 top 10 wins, wins over GT and Bama in OOC away from home and an away SEC series win in the last 3 weeks. Our early season schedule must have been horrible to have such a low RPI.

And I explained that on the bottom of the previous page.

AU swept a top 10 rpi team and took a series from another. Was our early schedule so much worse than others that it is weighing us down, or do I just not understand rpi at all, or both.

They changed RPI a few years ago which weights road games more.

Auburn has 25 home games vs 4 true road games.

Like other have said though, the SEC is strong enough in baseball that if you keep winning your RPI will rise quickly.

In the inverse though, how in the holy hell is LSU still ranked so highly? RPI is a formula and weird shite happens in the first half of the season, but the polls all still have LSU highly ranked and to be honest they just don't look like a good baseball team right now, what gives?

That seems like a better explanation.

A&M's went from in the 70s to 30s after going 5-3 (3-3) over 2 weekends with 2 road series.

I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. It doesn't matter what it is in April as long as it is where you need it come season's end.

UofL scores with 2 down after a bobble by the third baseman that could've shut down the inning.

0-2 UofL B1

Yeah we got here early since we're out on the berm. They're still walking across the overpass to get to the stadium.

Who are the folks that calculate the RPI? Do they use any sort of formula?

It's kinda like if they think you are a good team, it doesn't matter if you lose.

Not sure that is right

I think Cats dropped 1 to Ole Miss and 1 to Vandy so 7-2?
