Numbers are a little off for LSU.
2014 - signed 23...no, we signed 25...every single one of them are still on the team too
2013 - signed 26...actually signed 27...lost Jeryl Brazil, Hayden Rettig, Melvin Jones and Rashard Robinson
Might not be taking into account Jones and Rashard as they left after this last season

I'm glad Auburn is in the position to process players.
If y'all process any in the front 7 y'all will be playing a 1-1-9 defensive set real soon.

I knew TheJones from another site, this place would be better if he posted more. Intelligent poster and realistic.

Numbers seem to be including sign and place recruits as well as those who resign once they qualify. Like K Murphy signed 2 NLIs so is being counted twice vs just once. Also players that signed but opted to play MLB and never joined the class.
Somewhat bogus is seems.

This looks like the work of the idiot that ran the oversigning website. Major Ohio State fan that lives in Birmingham, AL but spent the majority of his time calling out the SEC for oversigning. Funny thing CUM did it this year at OSU and now their fans seem all happy about it since they are back on top.

The rates make sense and its more so telling of the schools that don't redshirt folks or have immediate contributors. In addition, telling of those who have eligible players leave early. Assuming a school takes the full allotment of signees, if no one redshirted the attrition would be 15 or 15%. If the entire class redshirted, then the max would be 40 for attrition or 47%. i wouldn't be surprised to see other schools in the same range if they recruit the full 25 scholarships.

Losing over half of our classes from 09 and 10 is what made this rebuild so difficult the past few years

i'm not trying to defend these numbers but I bet the attrition rate for the overall student population is pretty high also. many high schools just don't do a good job of preparing students for college and many students just don't make the transition. some of those come back later but i'm sure the numbers don't reflect that.
that being said, great high school athletes get "pushed" through high school and if they find themselves struggling to start they just don't have the academic background to make it.
in short, we coddle athletes and many of them get pushed aside if they don't become stars in college. so I completely understand these attrition rates.

Some teams have signed almost 40 more kids than UGA over that time span. Crazy.

According to that, we have not just "one of the", but THE lowest attrition rates of all SEC teams.
But...that's actually impossible since our rivals constantly tell us that UGA kids kids out all the time and we have no control over our thugs. I'll listen to message board posters over actual numbers.

Shula's classes had horrible attrition rates. Saban inherited a truly bare cupboard.
