Nice list. Would be tough call for me to pick between JFootball and Tebow. I think Ingram is a good pick there. I dont buy that Richardson was better. Ingram hasnt been a great pro but honestly Shaun Alexander had a slow start before he became a great pro player.

Josh Reed was a great receiver no doubt but dont know if he is top 2. Honestly I think the two LSU had this season were just as good. Harvin would be a good pick there too.

I was thinking about this as well. If Faneca is available, he's first team no question over Barrett Jones.

Cam was a Heisman winner and National Champ

Ingram was the least deserving Heisman winner in a long time

While I understand how you feel that way, its not close. At his time, Josh Reed was the best WR in college football by a mile. He was the only player in America that every team had no answer for.

From a raw talent perspective you are correct, but I can live with their justification for picking Tebow.

quote:

QB -- Tim Tebow, Florida: A tough call at quarterback, but Tebow had a hand in two national championships, won the Heisman Trophy in 2007 and accounted for more touchdowns (145) than anybody in league history.

McFadden averaged 120.8 rushing yards per game for his career, second only to Herschel Walker and Emmitt Smith in the SEC.

Wouldn't that make him 3rd?

McCluster over Ingram
Beckham over Reed
Newton over Tebow
A few over Clowney, but would pick Hardy because of Ole Miss ties.
And it's crazy that we can't include Joe Haden.

Of the Georgia players on that list (AJ Green, Pollack, Champ Bailey and Billy Bennett) I'd say they are all untouchable with the possible exception of AJ Green.

Green was a freak and had more talent than anyone at the position, but Julio Jones has to be in the conversation. He was a freakish talent as well plus he was never suspended (that I can recall), he had great stats and was a National Champ.

A couple of the picks seemed to be a bit lazy. They appeared to pick a few more recent guys with lots of name recognition instead of actually breaking down the numbers.

One phenomenal year doesn't trump 3 great years when talking all-time teams.

Depends on how you look at it. I'm building the team based off skill. I think all those players had better college talent and would produce better results.

If you were building a team to win games, you would take Reed over Beckham?
