Is it Kliff Kingsbury, who in his first year at A&M is leading the conference in offense with a redshirt Freshman at QB? His Aggies are avg 525 yards per game. The Aggies are fun to watch, but it is hard to separate what credit should go to the OC and just how much is due to his QB's freakish speed and athleticism. A&M's wide open offense has also lead to numerous turnovers.

Do you prefer Doug Nussmeier, Bama OC who is also in his first year with the Tide. The Tide is 5th in Total Offense in the SEC avg 440 ypg but is perfectly balanced at 220 ypg rushing and 220 ypg passing. The transition from McElwain to Nussmeier has been seamless. His QB has 16 tds and 0 ints. Nuss has greatly improved Bama's red zone scoring efficiency. He also inherited one of the most talented, veteran Olines in all CFB.

MSU fans may support Les Koenning who has the Bulldogs' offense avg 416 ypg with 184 ypg rushing and the SEC's leading rusher in Ladarius Perkins. His QB, Tyler Russell, avg over 230 ypg passing and has thrown 15 tds and only 1 pick.

If not one of these candidates, explain why your team's OC is the SEC's best.

They're all great. Everyone is great all the time forever and always until we all die peacefully of a heroin overdose.

Paul Petrino is clearly the best...

...when Bobby Petrino is HC.

Can't, could easily explain how he is the worst, but its not worth the frustration at this hour.

Florida is ranked 100th among teams in total offense and is 114th in passing offense. They rush the ball well and don't turn it over but they are far from a prolific offense.

Florida does have the best special teams in the nation.

I think Kingsbury and his quarterback are both still learning. While the numbers are good I think Kingsbury is learning how to adjust to the superior DC's in the SEC.

His game plans to start the game are solid but his adjustments after the DC adjusts are less effective. Now I don't know if that is on him or on the fact that this is the first year in this system for everybody so the players may not be executing his adjustments properly.

So I'd say the jury is still out on him. Time will tell.

For now I'd say Bamas.

I'd imagine Sumlin is responsible for a lot of A&M's offensive success.

Honestly, what makes a great OC is not the particular scheme they run even necessarily the stats they put up.

A good OC knows how to read defenses, play call correctly, make adjustments when needed, and score the ball.

All schemes try to create or take advantage of defensive weaknesses/mismatches.

IMO, Alabama's OC is probably the best. That offense is run exactly how they intend it and very few teams can stop it.

I like Kingsbury, but I think he still has some growing to do as an OC.
