I did appreciate it. Now, back to the OP.

Reggie Cobb was a great RB at Tennessee, but he wasn't even the best RB on that team. Chuck Webb by a fricking mile.

Also, as I mentioned earlier, no Jamal Lewis? List is poop

Nutt screwed the pooch with McFadden early in his freshman year.

We lost to Vandy at home and McFadden had 1 carry for 6 yards
Against Mizzou State, only 9 carries
Against Alabama only 8 carries

there's been some great RB's in the SEC but anyone that doesn't give UGA the nod as RBU is not thinking clearly. damn, y'all keep producing both RB's and OL every year. If y'all could produce bad arse Defenses nothing could stop you.

Kenny is Dalton's nephew, not son. Lazy "reporting"

Those were some incredible seasons - UGA is cranking out the RBs for sure. Where would you place Dyer on this list? He fizzled out but he put a hurting on the rest of the SEC in his freshman year.

Ummm...Jamal Lewis should be on this list. He ran for 1,364 yards with 7 TDS and also had 23 catches for 299 yards and 2 TDs.

5.9 Yards. Per. Carry.

He didn't really even play until after the Florida game. So he did this in about 7-8 games.

GOAT.

TJ Yeldon should have been on that list His rookie stats were similar to McFadden's. 1108 yards at 6.3 yards per carry with 12 touchdowns; 11 receptions for another 131 yards at 11.9 yards per reception & 1 touchdown.

10. Darren McFadden, Arkansas, 2005 - 1,100 yards at 6.3 yards per carry with 11 touchdowns

9. Dalton Hilliard, LSU, 1982 - 900 yards at 4.7 yards per carry; 11 touchdowns; caught more than 30 passes for more than 300 yards & 5 touchdowns

8. Reggie Cobb, Tennessee, 1987 - rushed just shy of 1,200 yards, 17 touchdowns; 13 catches for 198 yards (better than 15 yards per catch) and 3 touchdowns

7. Siran Stacy, Alabama, 1989 - ran just shy of 1,100 yards, scoring 17 touchdowns averaging 5 yards per carry; 36 receptions resulting in another 300-plus yards and 1 touchdown

6. Rudi Johnson, Auburn, 2000 - 1,500 yards and 13 touchdowns. Wasn't a freshman, he played the one year, 2000, after playing junior college ball in Kansas.

5. Marcus Lattimore, South Carolina, 2010 - 249 carries as a true freshman, 1,200 yards and 17 touchdowns at nearly 5 yards per carry; 29 receptions for another 400-plus yards and 2 touchdowns.

4. Knowshon Moreno, Georgia, 2007 - 1,300 yards and 14 touchdowns, averaging better than 5 yards per carry

3. Nick Chubb, Georgia, 2014 - 1,500 yards and 14 touchdowns; 18 receptions 213 yards averaging 11.8 yards per carry with 2 touchdowns

2. Todd Gurley, Georgia, 2012 - 1,400 yards at better than 6 yards per carry, 17 touchdowns; caught 16 passes

1. Herschel Walker, Georgia, 1980 - 1,600 yards and 15 touchdowns in only 11 games, averaging 5.9 yards per carry.

This guy who wrote this is dumb. Kenny isn't Dalton's son.

I can't argue too much with that list.

All good backs. Still, I'd have to add Justin Vincent in as a tie somewhere. In 2003, he set the LSU Freshman rushing record(Just broken by Fournette), the SEC Championship Game rushing record (MVP) and was named MVP in the BCS title game. And he didn't become the starter until the last third of the season. Pretty damn good season.

Good season, just not the stats the others have. TJ Yeldon had a better rookie season, and he's not on the list.

Dyer's rookie season in 2010 had 1093 yards at 6 yards per carry and 5 touchdowns; and 1 reception for 9 yards, no touchdowns.

He certainly tore us up in the SECCG, but 1000 yards and 10 TDs over a 14 game season...idk if that should make the list.

Started year as 4th string back; bacame starter in the 10th game. 1001 yards, 6.5 ypc 10 TD's. Freshman AA as well as the aforementioned MVP' of the SECCG (Over 200 yards against UGA) and the BCS title game (117 yards against the OU defense with it's 5 All-Americans).

It's the way he did it. Slowly climbing up the depth chart, not becoming the starter until the 10th game and piling up nearly 700 yards in the final 4 games to help lead the Tigers to a national championship.
