More like the G W Bush of the SEC. Started a war they can't possibly win.

Man State hates the some Ole Miss... Absolutely obsessed. This guy is their ring leader. State needs to worry about beating someone not named Ole Miss that's worth a shite.

I wish I could remember how he got the nickname "Rosebowl". It happened in the late 90's /early 2000's. I remember Ole Miss fans started calling him this, but I can't recall why.

Nevermind, I just read the post above concerning his nickname.

Why isn't the FOIA applicable to a government institution that depends on federal money? After all, we are now in the top tier of government research universities in the nation.

You are correct about the criminal issue. Just a hefty fine for noncompliance. Can be prison term only if repeated refusals and contempt hearing.

Isn't a failure to comply with a FOIA request something like a $500 fine?

Because the law says it isn't. Funny things about laws, they only apply to the entities enumerated in the statute. The federal FOIA applies to federal agencies only.

Let's pretend for a second that it did apply to a university. It still does not have a criminal component. If an agency fails to answer a request, the recourse is to file a civil suit in federal court seeking a court order for the release of the records. Happens all the time. There's no fine. Nobody goes to jail.

The only time incarceration or financial penalty comes into play is if the agency refuses to comply with a court order. At that point, a pissed off judge may jail or fine someone for contempt of clout but that still isn't a criminal conviction.

A quick glance shows Mississippi's open records law pretty much mirrors the federal one.

More the fact that a ms state recruiting insider is using his personal interest to attack a rival university. And using misleading statements to do so.

There was never a claim that we weren't under investigation. But the extent and how much football is involved has been far over sold. Yellow journalism at its finest.

He is a convicted Felon and his obsession is unnatural, the guy has a vendetta.
He needs to be relieved of his duties. If ms state wants to co operate or provide info to the NCAA that's there prerogative. But a random vigilante ms jr. recruiting moderator?

Please guy has zero integrity, and he should be relieved of his duties.
I could see a lawsuit being brought against him and his parent company .

Oh, well in that case he should definitely be "taken out". This is college football after all.

Misleading statements?

Ole Miss has players getting so fricked up on spice they are jumping out of windows! From what I can see there doesn't appear to be a shred of institutional control over the Ole Miss football program.

Lying to NCAA, free cars, fake ACT scores, prepaid gift cards. The NCAA will be carrying a big hammer.

again unfounded narrative driven opinions. You have no data or facts you are the lowest form of troll.

ban bet me if you are willing to back up your statement.

If we receive a ban on playing games, post season or the whole season.

I will perma and myself.

If no ban on playing games is handed down to the Team, you take a permaban.

Agree?
