Funny how you only concentrate on football. Let's talk about ALL championships won during that period, shall we?

You won the ACC in 1969 with a 7-4 record, In 1970 you went 4-6-1. Then Carolina left the ACC and started lighting it up with a 6-5 record in 1971 and a 4-7 record in 1972. In 1973 ya'll had a 7-4 record and followed that up with a 4-7 record in 1974.

Thank you for the history lesson, but it doesn't change the fact that you can't win conference championships when you're not in a conference.

Wow, a whole 20 years. Since Carolina has been in the SEC almost 25 years, let's just use their SEC football championships as an example of how they would have loaded up during their independent years.

^ Doesnt understand how being an independent can kill a program, even one that wasn't that good already.

Why can't I do both at the same time?

Hard to win conference championships when you're independent for 20 years, so yeah.

Much like one can count on me showing up in a USCe bashing thread, you know this response is coming when the lack of championships is brought up.

What about the other 60+ years? From the Southern, to the ACC, and finally the SEC. 1 in 60 years.

Can you point me to where I said we've been successful?

Nope. But that independent excuse always comes out to combat the lack of success. As in, "We don't have but one, but if it weren't for that 20 years as an independent, we'd have a real trophy case."
If you think that excuse works for you, stick with it.

Kentucky has a more recent conference title than Missouri. Missouri won their last one the same year South Carolina did, 1969
