Wow, a whole 20 years. Since Carolina has been in the SEC almost 25 years, let's just use their SEC football championships as an example of how they would have loaded up during their independent years.

Uhh, I don't think you understood my post.
Not saying we would've been successful those 20 years, but dogging our lack of conference championships and implying we've actually been in a conference the whole time is just incorrect.
Also, we had just won an ACC title before we actually left the conference, so who knows.

You won the ACC in 1969 with a 7-4 record, In 1970 you went 4-6-1. Then Carolina left the ACC and started lighting it up with a 6-5 record in 1971 and a 4-7 record in 1972. In 1973 ya'll had a 7-4 record and followed that up with a 4-7 record in 1974.
