FTR, AU was not a "good" offense when they played LSU in September.

They weren't really a very good offense all season. Just a hopped-up, gimmicky high school offense that failed as soon as they met a team that knew how to stop it.

He hasn't "figured it out" in the absolute sense LSU fans would have people believe, though he does defend it better than most. He still has trouble with it from time to time though:

2010 Auburn
2011 West Virginia (LSU won, but WVU had about 550 yards)
2012 Ole Miss (Again, won but got lit up)
2012 Clemson
2013 Ole Miss

In some of those games, the yardage is more indicative of how awesome our punting and kickoff game was. Our red zone defense is usually a better indicator.

A team with an aggressive, fast paced offense will always get a shite-ton of yards against LSU. It's points that are harder to come by, and that's all that matters.

Auburn's running game didn't really get going at full speed until the A&M game.

There was nothing remotely gimmicky about Auburn's offense last year.

I'm just talking shite to him. Besides, don't bitch about a game you lost, say it doesn't really count, and that you'd win if you got a second chance. Leave that shite to Bama.

Auburn won the SEC in a year that they were supposed to finish fifth in the west. What is there to bitch about?

Auburn pays Malzahn 3.8mil to take a rebuilding Auburn team to the national championship.

LSU pays Les Miles $4.3 million to underachieve with elite talent every year.

Sounds good to me.

Or it evolves so much that you pretty much have to run some from of it to keep up. And now every school has started doing it, all the time. Back and forth, back and fourth, just running up to the line of scrimmage to see who can get it off the quickest. I think this will happen if we never make any changes to the rules. I don't want this.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you saying that you'd rather watch players standing in a huddle than actually playing football? I'd LOVE this. Teams using the HUNH still pass and run the ball and the defense tries to stop them. What idiot would rather see no action and announcers talking than watching football?

"The same things wins that always won...we just have a bunch of different excuses when we lose..." PWB

That's all I got to say about that.

Then you should not be afraid of a 10 second rule

Coach Bryant did not run to the rules committee. He learned a new system and dominated for a decade.

No, another coach ran and got the rules changed to stop Bryant from using the tackle eligible, and he was forced to change.
