Grossman is among the top two or three best pure passing QBs to ever play in the SEC. Leak was a mediocre QB

Leak threw a way prettier ball then Grossman could ever dream of.

Plus Stabler blew Shuler out with his NFL career.

You must have a short memory to forget the 464 passing yard performance he put on you guys in 2001 or the forty burger Florida put up in 2000. Grossman was an absolute beast.

yes he was good but he was not "one of the best pure passers in SEC history"

100 percent chance they rate McCarron higher than Cam Newton.

God almighty damn. Stabler 24.
There won't be three other QBs in the same universe as Snake.

Michael Jordan must have been average Joe at UNC.

But I would take Archie over Sullivan.

There's teams only faced each other once, in the 1971 (post-1970 season) Gator Bowl.

Auburn 35, Ole Miss 28

Manning, 19 completions on 28 passes (1 int), 180 yards, 1 passing TD, 95 yards rushing, 1 rushing TD

Sullivan, 27 completions on 43 passes (1 int), 351 yards, 2 passing TDs, 35 yards rushing

[quote]There will probably be three Mannings in the top ten. I was hoping CFB HoF and NFL Champion QB Charlie Conerly would make it, but I doubt it.

How could Archie even make top 40?

He didn't even throw more tds than ints.

Peyton doesn't deserve to be ranked very high. True, his passing stats are impressive, but they didn;t amount to much in the trophy case and you can't blame his spporting cast either, he played with some real studs.

...and y'all can't be goin around calling Peyton "Peyton". Only we can do that. Its Mr Manning to you.

It's a real shame that only about 40% of this board knows this. Plus the Snake had more swag in one of his farts than everyone else combined.

A better question is justify why in the world you think he even belongs remotely close to this list. What did he do to make you think he is that great/

Heck even the visor benched him much of his collegiate career

So, if Connor Shaw made it, that means UGA should have:

ATLEAST:
Aaron Murray
John Rauch
David Greene
Eric Zeier

Plus, Possibly:

Fran Tarkenton
Matthew Stafford

I don't think all of these guys made the list, which means that Connor Shaw made it in above at least one of these guys... Which is hilarious. Connor is a good QB and as much as he loved beating us, I loved watching him play the game the way he played it. But, I can't see him as a better QB than these guys...
