The UT's have different colors and symbols so they're easy to tell apart.

the U of A = Arkansas and Arizona, but I've never had any confusion on sports forums saying the U of A since the teams seldom play the same teams.

UA = Bama
OSU = Oklahoma State, unless Oregon pulls off an upset

the OSU = Ohio State

UM = Michigan

Just say "the USC" or "the U of SC"
quit trying to confuse everyone.

"Man that was a great game last night between USC and Oregon! The Ducks get a great job keeping Lee in check."

"USC and Georgia should be a really good game and the winner will be in the driver's seat for the SEC Championship"

"Wow Kiffin and USC are really doing well on the recruiting trail, maybe the sanctions won't hurt them as much as anticipated"

"USC loves them Sandstorm, they are a really tough team at home, but could struggle on the road this season"

There aint nothing confusing about it, use your head.

Yeah, but Mich. State uses the "S" logo, which I guess could be confused with Syracuse if they had the same colors.

The difference is that USC goes by USC, almost exclusively

This is bullshite. Southern cal wasn't exclusively referred to as USC like it is now on ESPN until a few years ago.

I remember seeing and hearing them referred to as Southern Cal quite frequently. Not sure why ESPN has pushed referring to Southern Cal exclusively by their acronym similar to LSU the past few years but it annoys me.

I see what you're saying but UT doesn't worry about the school belonging to a state that didn't even become one until a loooong arse time after our school was founded let alone establish their u of t. Plus, ESPN typically refers to Tennessee (Tenn) and Texas rather than calling either school UT. While Aggies may be confused, it's never been a big deal in the SEC.

Yea even though he murdered his brother, chased off his nephew and ran the kingdom into the ground, he had good intentions. And as the saying goes, it the thought that counts. Right?

To me, you are USC.
But for another UM you can add Memphis. Though I usually say either Memphis or U of M. And I call the state of NC, Carolina, because I refuse that N word for a southern state.

Ill clear this shite up... When you are in the state of south carolina we are USC, SC, U of SC, Carolina, ect...

We are SCar to everyone in the nation.

On SEC boards we are Carolina, SC, SCar, and USC.

Discussion over!
