Doc Martin on Cincinnati's 700 WLW reported this morning that Billy D. stopped off at Cincy on the way to Bloomington yesterday afternoon. No other news, but odd that he would be going there right now.

Indiana hasn't even fired Crean yet and they're still in the tournament. If anyone is going to be flying anywhere it'd be through agents at this point.

dont understand why Brad Stevens would leave the NBA (coaching for one of the most storied franchises no less) for IU.

Because life in the NBA is short. If he had success at IU then he could be there for decades.

Scrolled the main Florida and Indiana message boards and no mention of Donovan either place. The Indiana PEEGS threads have a few for Gregg Marshall and Jacobsen. Boy thought, are the Indiana boards seething with hatred toward Cal and Kentucky over the undefeated season. It really chaps them that their undefeated 1976 season is about to be eclipsed!

But I was told the Gators can not fund projects that need to be done to improve the facilities in athletics. Which is it?

I'm not sure anyone can answer whether or not someone told your something. So, who knows?

Getting Brad Stevens is a pipe dream at this point. The win - loss record might not reflect but he's a great young coach and the Celtics organization have a lot of confidence in him. Add the fact that the Celtics have a ton of draft picks and cap space in the next few years and I don't see Stevens going anywhere any time soon. Duke is probably the only college job he would consider and even that would be a long shot.

Ehhhhhh I can't really tell if Duke is a great job or if K is just that good. They didn't have a ton of success before him. Put another way, UCONN didnt hire a massive name coach when Calhoun retired, and I'd be intrigued as to what Cuse can get.
