It's OBVIOUS what the game plan is against Malzahn. They're a running team, STOP the run. They'll have to beat you with the QB's arm. Does Malzahn have confidence Marshall can do that? I don't think he does. He'll resort to trickery, which can get you in REAL trouble with a Saban Defense.

Indeed it could, but early trickery also made the 2009 game very close

Saban always gets better. He's a heckuva lot better coach than he was at LSU.

no sh*t, stop the run... the thing is, a running game like Auburn's does more than off tackle right/left... it's speed sweeps, read-option, designed QB runs, zone blocking, pullling guards, etc... it's a lot easier to say it's that simple, when reality is AU's running game is more complicated than most.

It's 11 on 11. That's where some teams get fooled. Bama won't be fooled by it.

thanks, nostradumbass

Yeah, because stopping Auburn's run game can just be done easily.

Some of you clowns act like Auburn is just some chump team. We are 10-1 for a reason.

You're not going to be able to reason with Alabama fans, I'm shocked you're going to try.

Time to turn this into a schedule thread?

Why in the hell is everyone arguing with beerbryant? The guy is a schmuck and knows quite little about football. Save yourselves the time and ignore.

One of the greatest players in college football history was able to put up 28 points against Saban in 2010. Serious question: do auburn alums really believe that this offense is better than 2010?

Bottom line. Even when auburn had Cam, nick sabans defense shut his arse out for nearly a half of football running the only part of Gus's offense that Marshall is capable of playing. Can had to go pocket passer in the second half to come back and Alabama wasn't expecting it, not to mention some seriously lucky ball bounces and even a injury on a key TD play that would have been an easy interception otherwise.

Marshall isn't capable of going pocket passer on us. So we just go in with the same game plan as 2010 and do what we do better than nearly anyone in the country. Stop the run.

And, yet, all the success of the running game this season has been around the edges, not up the middle. You are selling Ivory short. When he's healthy, the run game does not do very well up the middle.

You know how I know you haven't watched many Auburn games?

Not necessarily. I personally believe Bama's defense isn't as good.

You could, at very least, watch an Auburn game before posting.

I've watched enough this season. I was responding to the comment about the running game up the middle being a weakness for Bama's D. Pay attention.

My bad, you're correct. You need to forgive me, my ADD doesn't allow me to focus sometimes.
