Great analysis, yet again, from Coach Saban

Could that guy be a bigger horse's behind?

Those plays he ran in OT were just brilliant. Bill Walsh stuff. And I'm sure all along LSU's plan was to just get to the ONE before halftime and try a FG.

Why does Saban still care about the first game? It obviously didn't matter.

I mean, there's no way he wanted that SEC West division title and that SEC title, right?

He probably still has nightmares about Foster missing field goals all over the place, even though he sleeps with two crystal footballs

I think Saban still feels that 1/9 was a game he has to justify because he knows they should not have been there. Not that they weren't the better team, but they didn't win the conference and he believes that means something.

It's just sad that the best coach in the country is still so insecure, despite so much success.

Everything he said was the truth. They did outplay us first time around, if you can't see that take off the homer glasses. Second game they left no doubt...rape, pilage, and plunder. So what is the silver lining. I'm am hoping that the intense pain/shame the Tigers felt after 1/9 will light a fire under their asses, and our fricking coaching staff this season and that they pursue nothing short of a MNC and bring that bitch home. GEAUX TIGERS!!

Losing when he has the better team probably chaps his arse pretty bad. I imagine he's using the loss as a learning opportunity as the team gets ready for 2012.

In the first game against LSU we probably outplayed them. However, we kept shooting ourselves in the foot. We were inside the 25-yard-line five times, outgained them, punted twice, and scored six points. It is almost not possible. The loss was all about what we did. That is what our player's saw the next time we played...

Without a doubt one of the douchiest things I've heard a head coach say.

It's more drive and perfectionism than insecurity. It's probably not that healthy, but it sure is effective.

How could Alabama have outplayed LSU if they kept shooting themselves in the foot and could not finish inside the Red Zone? Sounds like they got beat to me.

It gnaws at Saban and keeps him up at night that he only went 1-1 against LSU last year. It will forever be a blemish on his sterling record that he lost to Les Miles and LSU at home in a year where he claims a National Championship.

I think that a certain school in Baton Rouge is in his head. Good. He'll overprepare again for the game in November and get his butt handed to him.

I think he's already afraid. It really is sad. He should relish the championship given him and move forward. Oh well. Typical Gump. Just living in the past.

I disagree. What did they do in round 1 that was dominate. Their D was great but our O put up more than theirs in their stadium. Our D held them to 6 with the best back in the land and we punished their Oline.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that a question sparked the response, rather than saban calling up the media and saying, "I'd like to give my analysis of the LSU games last year"

Don't be so mad, it was months ago and alabama didn't even deserve to be there so it wasnt legit

lol wtf? Not even close. He is 100% right. We tried to tell LSU fans after Nov. 5th, but they were too busy flaming everyone to realize the truth.
