You dont understand why we want to continue playing our rival? It would be like if yall stopped playing... wait, OK now I understand why you feel the way you do.

As Wade said, LSU and Tulane was a very big rivalry for the people of Louisiana for a long time. My entire family still to this day hate Tulane.

But they sucked so we stopped playing them.

Les has been talking about it on his Tiger Tour's for two weeks now.

You really comparing a conference USA team with a top ten all time program? Lets not resort to the absurd.

People said the exact same things about Bama when I was a student there. It was incredibly short sighted then, and it still is now.

Well UT can't even find a decent coach to even consider going there, have no in-state talent, and the athletic department owes the school and Dooley a lot of money. It will be a very long time before this rivalry is significant.

So we should abandoned years of tradition because you don't think UT will come back?

I'm comparing rivalry to rivalry. It's as simple as saying the rivalry died, so we stopped playing them.

Don't compare Tulane and Tennessee. The two aren't nearly on the same level

Clearly my opinion doesn't matter, but by all means keep letting it bother you.

And again, I said it'd be a long time before they make a come-back. I also said earlier that it would make for better football games, something your fan base on this board clearly doesn't care about.

And sorry for not giving a shite about your tradition. You literally have one of the biggest rivalries on all of sports with Auburn.

Stay tuned

According to your fellow LSU poster you stopped playing them 5 years ago. They left the SEC in 1966.

You do realize there are other sports in which rivalries exist besides football, right?
