He will make more money leaving than he is coaching.
Speaking fees will be Clintonesque. Book deal will be monstrous. ESPN will throw however much money at him they need to in order to get him.
All without having to grind it out every day like he's done his entire life. He can get some time for those grandbabies. Make more money than god to pass down to them. Go out on top. And die a demigod of college football.
Anybody that thinks the appeal of dealing with nonstop gumps and press every day tops that is delusional.

Why in the hell is Saban so giddy at beating a 2 loss LSU team by 21 points
LSU was the only team that could match Bama physically on Bama's sched, and until about 12 minutes to go in the 4th qtr that game could've gone either way.

Texas is the new tOSU as far as ease of winning.
It's been pretty easy for Alabama (so far) in the SEC this year. As a matter of fact...we are blowing out quality teams while Ohio State struggles against mediocre teams. So which is easier?

I don't believe for one second CNS wants to retire, he loves football too much, but I think he wants to turn this thing over to Kirby Smart and leave this program intact before too long, but not yet.
I think he might want to prove his ability in the NFL by way of the Dallas Cowboys with a 10 million dollar contract and a piece of the team ( thats my hunch )so if J.J. flashes a deal he can't refuse he might want to prove himself in the pros.
With Kirby as head coach we will not miss a beat.

quote:the one about winning the SEC championship? So beating a 2 loss LSU team, with Auburn yet to go now merits as much/more emotion than winning the SEC and making it to the BCS game?
See the post above yours about Ingram moron.
Chill. I'm not trolling you here, I'm just wondering aloud (onscreen I guess) about it. Saban is gonna leave eventually; one way or another. He might decide that finishing a threepeat with an undefeated season is the way to go, and not be in the mood to start over with a new QB. Again, considering he left the NFL (not fired, just left), he might want more than football at some point. I doubt he wants to go out like Bear or JoePa, and die within a year of retirement.
Let's see how he acts with Auburn, the SEC championship, and the BCS game. Let's see if he is "savoring the last ride", so to speak.

99% of the time everyone on this site hates PF.
If it is something that favors the "bama is fricked" narrative PF is Nostradamus.

I've never hated Feinbaum. I think he's a freaking hilarious troll and take pretty much nothing he says when he's trolling as serious.
But one thing about him, he doesn't just make shite up and lie about it. In fact if you look at the shite he's kept quiet over the years you realize that if he wanted to, he could just tell a little bit of what he knows and really cause havok. But he doesn't. So these coaches that he's friends with actually trust him.
He's good at what he does. And I'm sure he and Nick can sit down and bash the hell out of Alabama fans better than anybody alive and chuckle their asses off about it. If anybody could it's those two. And really do you think they love Bama fans? Because if PF does, that's some seriously strange form of love. And Nick only pays them platitudes.
And the fact remains, Nick can make more money OUT of football now than in it after this year if he wins.
Might be time to make peace with it.

I personally don't give a frick how long Saban is at UA.
Yeah, I mean it's not like Alabama is the only team kicking Auburn's teeth in on a yearly basis.

If Saban wins 3 in a row I will suck your dick if he doesn't coach next year...

You guys do realize - the Fluker stuff still lurks in the back ground. I suspect the NCAA is getting a daily dose of WTF? from USC and OSU power brokers.

I think the 'avi/sig bet' bar has been raised.
Any lady posters out there in a sporting mood?

I'm counting on the NCAA to be as tough on Alabama as they were on Auburn.

What in the world would Saban do if he wasn't coaching? He's football OCD.
