8-11 for Saban and 10-16 for Miles against teams that finished in the top 10.

A much more telling stat than ranking at the time the game is played.

Sabin came riding in to LSU on bill belecheks coat tails and rode in to bama on a NC with a majority of denardos players while ESPN has did his recruiting ! Sabin's hasn't had to do much !

For comparison, Meyer is 10-10 (7-8 at UF and 3-2 at OSU).
Stoops is 14-15, which is actually pretty good considering all the shite he gets.

This might be my all-time favorite Saban post. Let us all take a moment, and appreciate this glorious post, in all its inbred glory.

LSU has been a better program than Florida in recent years and that won't change anytime soon.

No debating this. Butter Teeth won't change this dynamic.

bama has been top 10 probably each year since 2008 when LSU played them. LSU probably half those years. That's at least 3 or 4 more top ten match ups for LSU.

This puts an awesome perspective on how good LSU was in 2011. They had wins against 4 top 10 teams in that one season.

Miles is Saban, but we all knew that. Miles is still a solid coach.

Don't forget at Duke a few years back. That's more than 500 miles.

Also, what is LSU 's record while trailing in the 4th? I thought at one time LSU had a winning record, while the next best team was around 0.250 or so.

Saban at Bama:
15-6 vs Top 10, 4-1 on road w only loss being Kick Six

Miles at LSU:
15-15 vs Top 10, 1-3 vs Florida

Take LSU vs Bama out of the numbers. I would like to then see how it looks.

Durham is 584. So I believe that makes Saban 7-0 with Bama when travelling 500+ miles.
