People forgot, this will be the THIRD STRAIGHT SEASON Michigan gets bounced in the semis. Turns out, a one game season isn't a good indicator of a "great" team.

That's right. I don't see anything that says this Michigan team is that much better than their last two. Georgia beat them like a pinata two years ago and I expect Bama to do the same.

Probably in the minority here but I think that Michigan wins. Michigan has the advantage everywhere but the secondary.

Alabama doesn't have a very consistent offense because the QB and play caller each share time killing drives and making amazing plays or play calls. I don't think Alabama possesses the ability to wax a team like UGA did against Michigan in 2021.

If Alabama avoids turnovers on offense and limits explosives from Michigan, I could see a game like that 24-6 Sugar Bowl v. Clemson in 2017.

No they’re not. They’re probably a top 10 team but not a top 4 or #1

Top 10 is still a really good team though. I do agree that Michigan feels overrated, but it's just so hard to know with how little they have been tested. The offenses in the B1G are...not good. The O/U for Iowa's point total in the fricking conference championship game was 0.5, so basically do you think they get shut out or sneak in a FG at some point. They still run the power I. In 2023.

I remember watching Michigan play Georgia two years ago and the talent level between the two teams was huge. Michigan had no business being on the field with Georgia. And Bama and Georgia have basically the same talent. So if Bama plays their A game it won't be close. But of course this Bama team has played down to their competition somewhat but I expect they'll be dialed in for the playoffs.

The counter to that is that Michigan learned from their mistakes, made a major upgrade at quarterback and that Bama and Georgia both aren't what they were in 2021 right now.

I agree. I approach all Bama games (especially big games) with a sense of cautious optimism. I think we actually matchup very well against Michigan. They try to play bully ball, but you can't bully the SEC. Not to mention the fact that they have played a pretty weak schedule, with the best offenses they have faced being OSU and Penn State. I think their defensive numbers are a bit inflated, especially considering that there is not a true dual threat QB in their league (and Milroe will be the first they have really had to contend with). That being said, they are talented, well coached, and their determination is certainly there. It should be a good game

Alabama's OL has come into their own since benching Dalcourt and starting Roberts at RG. Alabama's DL is built to hold up well against more pro style/pro spread offenses like UGA or Michigan. Certainly will be the stoutest unit they've seen since 2021 UGA.

Michigan does not produce a lot of sacks. This is a huge boon for Milroe who likes to hold the ball to let deep over routes develop down field. Bond and Burton will have opportunities. Also, McCarthy has not really ever been a great big game quarterback and he's probably going to need to make plays to beat Alabama.

I don't think Alabama destroys them but I fully expect this to be a first to 20 wins type game.

They didn't have any business being on the field with fricking TCU last season.
