He said that Michigan is a great team and it was going to be a challenging game for Bama. I don't know how he said all that without laughing.

To be fair, he said a lot of those same things about Arkansas too
"They always play us tough no matter the season they're having. They've played a lot of close games and are close to turning the corner, we can't sleep on them or they absolutely will beat us. They have great players and coaches and their QB is one of the best we'll face..." Etc
He's always very complimentary of his opponents because it makes their wins look even better when they beat them

People forgot, this will be the THIRD STRAIGHT SEASON Michigan gets bounced in the semis. Turns out, a one game season isn't a good indicator of a "great" team.

I watched some of Michigan in the Big 10 championship game. They looked slow and boring. I don’t think they’re going to be able to just line up and smash mouth the Bammers.

I think Michigan is a very solid football team. If Alabama doesn't take them as seriously as Georgia, they will struggle to win or even lose.
I think Michigan is a bit fluffed by a weak schedule and Ohio State's QB being bad but they play sound ball.
