But I truely feel bad that Saban didn't give yall permission to eat those BBQ or pulled pork Nachos, whatever they are.

Last fan to ask permission to eat the BBQ had his head bitten off. Keep your yap shut and eat your hotdog if you're a Bama fan.

I also notice that, how he is always blaming others for the loss and not taking responsibility.

"My feelings, it's not about me," he said as he shut down a long and winding response. "My feelings are about everybody else. I serve them in what I do, and I feel like I failed them by not doing enough to help them get what they really wanted."

Here is a link from the Iron Bowl 2010 post game PC. He says the players did a great job the first half and then didnt execute in the second half and didnt finish but all of that was ultimately his fault.

"Every time they come to the line of scrimmage, we should make it difficult for their quarterback to play," he said. "Don't think you're not having an effect on the game. ... Make them go silent. Make their players react to the snap of the ball so that they can't hear every play of the game."

"That will be a tremendous advantage for our defense, and it will create some problems for them. But you have to do it."

I was at the game last week and the crowd was pretty good but not so loud, until Sims fumbled in the fourth quarter and it looked like N. Tex. was going to score. The fans wanted a shutout and they really got loud. The N. Tex. players were held. Only time in the game that the fans got really involved.

I think Coach Saban wants the fans to be loud because it does help the defense. Maybe, Arkansas being our first SEC game, the fans won't be having tea parties up in the stands and will be loud.

"You want our players to our players to play every play of the game, compete for 60 minutes in the game," Saban said. "Well, you know, I don't get any hot dog at halftime. I don't. I don't even drink a Coke. I coach the team at halftime. You get your little halftime break, and then you have your little ... back in your seat ready to go when the next half starts.

WTF?

Saban = douche
plain & simple
Great college football coach, but POS person. Bottom line.

Why are you so mad? If anyone is getting upset over his comments, shouldn't it be Alabama fans?

And who cares? He wasn't hired to be a sweetheart. He knows how to get his team and the fans pumped up.

Not mad at all. Perhaps just pointing out the obvious, but this quote just reminded me how much of an a hole he is.
He could easily end up as one of the greatest college football coaches in my lifetime, but I think it's fair to call a prick a prick. And Saban is a prick.

No Alabama fan takes those comments that way. You're just confusing your hatred of him, for the perception you think he projects with these comments. Alabama are notorious for casually making their way back to their seats for the second half kick-off. As far as I'm concerned, he was making an observation that everyone, team and fans, have a job to do on Saturdays. What's wrong with involving the fans?

The Saban hate is strong ITT. The man wants the crowd to be involved. a loud crowd will have impact the pig offense. we all know this. If there is something that can help the team then it's his job to help coach that part up.

It's a trick. It's a ploy. It's a cleverly disguised excuse (taking into account the general neuronal capacity of those to whom this was directed), which if need be, is now in the holster for future use.

However, he CAN coach.

Bama pays him to be a great football coach, bottom line.

He's simply coaching up the fans for our first SEC opponent. This is going to be a huge game, and a full stadium that's loud and hostile will make things tough for a young Arky QB.

I plan on eating before the game so my arse will be in my fricking seat and ready to do my job when the next half starts.

Nothing at all. But it's the way Saban goes about asking. He always has to denegrate everyone else. He's just not a good person. Nothing more to it. The world has tons of a-holes who are very good at what they do. Saban happens to be one.

More importantly, I think it's funny he even has to ask this of the fans. Just another thing he misses about LSU.

Surely you arent insinuating that LSU fans stay in the stadium for the whole game? Yall are notorious for leaving early.
