Plus, Braxton Miller is injury prone, has no knowledge of the playbook, would have to build team chemistry really fast and he really doesn't even fit the offense. He's an exciting, electrifying player in the right scheme, but his passing is average and his ability to make plays with his legs is limited due to injury history.

Bingo, I am not looking for rumor mill. I leave that to certain fanbases. Feel free to join them.

Unless Saban truly feels that between a 5th yr senior, two 4 stars, and a 5 star, that none of them are SEC caliber QB's, I really hope Braxton Miller does not come to Alabama. He's not an elite talent, and he would be more of a distraction than an asset. If Saban can't find a starter with the QB talent we have consistently recruited, he needs to re-examine his recruiting strategy.

It seems like they are bringing in talented guys, but they just don't workout or leave for whatever reason.

Inherited
John Parker Wilson (3 star 2005)
Greg McElroy (3 star 2006)

Recruited
Nick Fanuzzi (3 star 2007)
Star Jackson (4 star 2008)
Brad Smelley (3 star 2008)
AJ McCarron (4 star 2009)
Blake Sims (4 star 2010)
Phillip Sims (4 star 2010)
Phillip Ely (3 star 2011)
Alec Morris (3 star 2012)
Cooper Bateman (4 star 2013)
Parker McLeod (3 star 2013)
David Cornwell (4 star 2014)
Blake Barnett (4 star 2015)

Transfer
Jacob Coker (3 star 2011)

All rankings were from Rivals.

I've never like his QB recruiting strategy. Almost all of his recruits have either been game manager types (Phillip Ely, Del Rio, Alec Morris, McLeod) or players with great physical tools that have no idea to play the position (Star Jackson, Philip Sims, Coker). McCarron was the lone exception. I like Cornwell and Barnett a lot so there is some optimism there but overall, Saban's QB recruiting has been a major disappointment.

Is there anything wrong with that?

Just asking for a friend, if it is.

They leave because you only have one starting QB.

Every single starting QB in the Saban era has led the team to a SECCG appearance or better and three spent multiple years on NFL rosters (with Sims TBD). Further, at least two of the transfers went on to earn the starting job at other D1 programs.

The talent evaluation and development is just fine. All that's happening now is the normal Bama fan offseason melt that happens whenever there is a QB vacancy working in combination with the declarations of Bama's imminent decline that come around every offseason.

Funny stretch dude.

You can only have one starter (sometimes two play). At least we have had guys that are brought up in Saban's system. All Saban starters were brought in as freshman. AU has had how many transfers or JC guys at QB? How about the guys that did start? Where is Frazier now?

Same reason certain Bama fans start these same type of threads about Auburn. It's the poster, not the fanbase.

Not really fair to compare the Juco thing, when Saban came in, he had two pretty good quarterbacks in the wings with Wilson and McElroy.

When Malzahn came in the same cannot be said. Yes, he recruited Juco, but he is getting a pretty good group of incoming freshman since he has arrived. (Johnson and White)

Also, I completely disagree with the premise of the whole op. Seriously doubt Alabama is really pursuing Miller. Now he might be interested, but Alabama does have lots of options at qb who have experience (at least in practice) of the offense Alabama runs.
