Stingray had the post of the thread. That made me spew my coffee laughing.

I just don't think it's possible for me to feel sorry for Saban for any reason. I wish someone would call Auburn's head coach the devil. That would mean a HC at Auburn had finally grown some balls.

No big deal. That famous Saban sense of humor at work.

It amazes me how people think that calling a coach the most evil entity in the universe wouldn't be considered inappropriate. People absolutely lost their sh## each and every time Saban said anything even remotely controversial and people here are mad that people are even questioning a person calling another person Satan. I agree that it probably isn't THAT big of a deal what the UF assistant said but it amazes me how if Saban says something even half as provocative people lose their sh## yet everyone is supposed to overlook calling a human being the most evil entity on earth as no big deal. Nice hypocrisy.

I guess I shouldn't use the phrase "speak of the devil" when someone I'm talking about walks in. Too politically incorrect these days.

Dude there is nothing you can do to defend this. Here is a guy Saban help to start a career and feed his family. He is where he is today because Saban gave him a chance; a chance he could have gave someone else.

His way of repaying him is to compare him to the Devil? Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.

I guess you guys would be cool if a kid you adopted or someone you hired to work for you came and ripped you publicly as well.

Talk about overreacting.

I was thinking the same thing.

It is "terribly disappointing" that Davis used a figure of speech.

Saban is getting a little sensitive about this. Must not be getting his daily "Lil Debbie"

Must be a slow news week for this to be getting so much play.

Why can't Saban just be happy that he's on top of the mountain and he's on everyone's mind?

He's basically angling for an apology. Blatantly.

Tim Davis was a middle school oLine coach before getting hired by Saban for the Dolphins O line coach. His family and him lived out of the equipment shed prior to that.

1990–1997 Utah (OL)
1998–2001 Wisconsin (OL)
2002–2004 USC (OL)
2005–2007 Miami Dolphins (OL)

Saban bought him his first house and car through the Saban Family Foundation. Brought him home one day and allowed the guy to take a shower and rinse the month old dirt off himself.

Davis is a coach at UF now, so I wouldn't wait around for him to be talking about what a great guy Saban is.

That said, if the sense of humor in Tuscaloosa is so lacking that you can't see this as a tongue in cheek comment, I don't know what to tell ya. It sounds like a response Urban would have made when he was holding on too tight. I think Nick likes it that way.

I'm sorry, but where does it say in that article that he got his feelings hurt? Sounds to me like people asked him questions about the comment and he answered them. He feels disappointed that someone would say that about him in public. Same way I'm pretty sure most people would feel if a former employee said they same thing about them in public. Oh well, it's really a non story and the rant has have a least 20 threads a week devoted towards the flaming of Alabama Football or it'll miss it's quota.

Honestly..who gives a shite. If ya cant handle the attitude of the dark lord, then get the frick lost. Saban will beat you silly in front of his or your fans, he dont care. Sure he may not be anything close to likable, but the psycho is a MACHINE. He is going to win 2 or 3 more titles before this decade is out and he retires. The only thing that can stop this freak of coaching nature is himself, and as of now, EVERY high school player dreams of playing for him as he gets results. For those who dont like him, fine...but honestly, like us Bama fans care. Alabama pays him over $5.3 million annually for these types of results. The reason why everyone else sucks arse is because you all are happy with yalls shitty standards, whereas Saban SETS THE STANDARDS.
