how is this news? only an ignorant hick would argue otherwise.

simple answer = nope.
hasn't been a rivalry since the 90's. seeing how Tennessee hasn't been relevant since the 90's.
LSU plays Miss St every year, does that make it a rivalry? Nope.

While everyone else says how absolutely NO ONE, outside the two schools care about the game.
If no one cares besides TN and AL fans, why are so many LSU fans posting in these threads???

TN has been in the SEC Title game 3 times since the 90's so hardly irrelevant.
We have been irrelevant since 2008. Get it right!

If Saban was Alabama alumni, I would say yes, Saban really cares about beating Tennessee more than any other team. This is just another game for Saban. I promise you bama fans are a lot more pumped for this game.

I love this rivalry, and I don't care if it bothers other teams. The only thing that makes me question whether the rivalry should continue is I'm not sure Tennessee is committed to winning.

Nick Saban said he “always knew” the game was big, but he couldn’t appreciate its true importance until accepting the head job at Alabama.
“Until you experience it firsthand, you really don’t understand the magnitude because you’re not really involved with the people who are involved in the game on both sides,”
Translation:
Until someone from One of the sides tells you its a big rivalry, you never really know about it.
Mainly because NO ONE ELSE IN THE COUNTRY GIVES TWO FLYING SISTER frickERS ABOUT IT.

REC giving Saban a bonus for pimping the Bama-UT rivalry in order to keep the nonsensical permanent cross division opponents for 10/14 teams in the conference

Well, I guess that's why its the 11 oclock game on SEC network, right?
Oh wait, its the FIRST GAME off the board when the networks picked who to show.
Oh, and see what the ratings are next week and see how many people didn't care about it.
