I'm sure you're not. But just to bring everyone back on board, Alabama has had a first year starting QB in each of the last three seasons. We lost two conference games total over that stretch, both to Ole Miss. This year we know who our QB is going into the season. Food for thought.

Last season was arguably Saban's best defense and they still didn't win the championship. This was mainly because the qb couldn't keep his team on the field and convert a 3rd down. Jalen is very athletically blessed, but at the qb position that can be a curse sometimes. Instead of going through his reads, he takes off running after the first person is covered. Most dual threats do this exact same thing and it helps, but bama doesn't need it.

This is accurate. We have only had one QB who played like a great QB in the national title game and that was AJ. We protected every other QB we have had with the power run game and a stifling defense. If the offense had kept the ball moving and had ten more snaps Bama wins that game. The best defense against a QB as great as Watson is keepmhim off the field.

Clemson would have won by more if not for two turnovers, a fumble and a bad snap, that gave Bama a short field. Bama's defense would have been even more gassed if not for these two breaks.

If my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle. Get out of here with that horseshite you ignorant frick. Those were forced fumbles. That's like me saying if Renfrow doesn't make that excellent hustle play and trip Anderson before he grabs that scoop and score Clemson never comes close. You're too stupid to discuss football you child.

my point is Bama fans act like they should have won the game. the truth is Bama was fortunate to be in the game if you look at the stats in the game. LINK

This is one of my favorite stats: 'The Tide had allowed only eight red zone touchdowns in 14 games, but Watson and the Clemson offense were able to get to 50 percent of that season total in 60 minutes on Monday night.'

one of the fumbles was a bad snap Forced? Bama also got away with two targeting plays that would have been called on Clemson.
