Playing the Big 12 is old news right now. Expand the brand and recruiting footprint outside of Texas. That's a huge part of the SEC move in general.

on the bright side, it's about the only way A&M fans will get to see what the inside of the GA dome looks like...
They can then have fish camp and tell stories around the camp fire to Ole Miss, Kentucky, Vandy and Mizzou.

I just love DaleDenton
He is by far the biggest troll in A&M's existence or the most butthurt. Either way, you're hilarious and entertaining.
Keep up the good work.

Congrats on having it one time.
We have it all time.

Because aTm doesn't want to play in the Cotton Bowl against a big12 team this close to being removed from that conference.
The cotton bowl probably wants.
aTm does not want.
Texas does not want.
exactly. And the SEC wants UGA there but the Cotton wants LSU meaning UGA falls further which sucks for the conference. Cap One is being persuaded to take UGA who is a great draw for them but would push us to the Chicken.
Lots and lots of lobbying going on at the moment.

You don't think the cotton bowl committee is drooling over a Texas/A&M matchup?
No, they aren't. They want LSU.
A&M to the Cap One was pretty much a done deal. The SEC office was putting major pressure on the Cotton to take Georgia, but the Cotton won't budge on not taking LSU.
The SEC office does not want UGA falling all the way to the Chicken Bowl, so with the Cotton not budging they went to the Cap One and pulled a power play on them and said they had to take UGA.
So, basically the Cap One dropped the Aggies to accomodate the SEC office where the Cotton wouldn't.
Welcome to the SEC Ags!

Georgia is a good team, but the loser of the SEC champ game should go to the chicken bowl. Their season is already fricked now anyway... High cost, high reward.
LSU-capitol one
A&M-cotton vs. texas
Georgia- Chickens
Dale, your program has been left behind. It's true, the only difference between y'all and NCstate, is the SEC.

Although it is technically considered a lesser bowl, the Chic Bowl sounds much more interesting than Cap1 did. Clemson is a more interesting matchup, primetime New Years night, nicer stadium, better city...
SEC shares bowl payouts anyways, so the money doesn't matter. We will likely have to endure hearing smack talk from B12 fans about falling to the Chic Bowl. But honestly, FL, LSU, and GA deserve higher tier bowls as they had better years than we did.

well, it makes absolutely no sense for UGA to go to the chicken bowl... they just played in the dome, fans won't buy hotel rooms b/c they can just drive from their house, and they'd be playing a clemson team who they're starting off the 2013 season with.

Something else, is the Cotton and Outback are suppose to take a team from the opposite division every so often (outback is usually east cotton usually west), the outback took Auburn a few years back and I can't recall when the cotton took a east team.

we played UT in the Cotton in 05. Believe that was the last

Didn't Carolina have this scenario a few years back?

I don't care who we play, as long as it's made public that texas refused to play us. that's some pussy arse shite.

We had 4 losses after the SECCG so us falling back to the Peach Bowl made sense. It didnt hurt ticket sales us going back a month later as Atlanta is so close to our state

Dale, with your infinite wisdom on bowl scenarios, please share with us where Arkansas will be playing this bowl season?
I will hang up and listen.

You are correct. There is nothing worse than the Cap One Bowl and Orlando. Orlando is, by far, the worst place in FL and the stadium in Orlando sucks.
Atlanta and the Georgia Dome is a much, much better destination.

It has already been made public you did not want to play in the cotton bowl.
I guess, I would hope Texas does not get a cotton bowl invite if I were an aggy fan.
