If South Carolina can do it, why not State?

This thought crosssed my mind the other day.. people forget that USCe was shite just like MSU was before they got Spurrier. I think IF (and that's a big time if) Dan mullens stays at MSU for 5-10 years he will do similar to what USCe does. ( consistent 7-9 win seasons, maybe win the west if the ball rolls our way)

Eh... I'm bored. Trying to reel in a Klong or two. Also what's up with all the "OM students families being in debt" bullshite. Maybe I just don't hang around them, but I don't know any of those people.

BTW slip, I'm pretty sure you went to MUS and are still in school at State. Otherwise you are creepliy similar to a guy I know.

let me break this down for you....

we understand that you have wealthy kids at State everywhere does... you get your reputation as being the poor school because the majority of ppl in MS who didnt attend college and are thus more likely to be less wealthy than a college graduate, choose a State Allegiance because that is who they identify with

you call them sidewalkk fans

I've never heard of OM families in poverty to fit in either. I'm sure it's happened before but obviously not a lot.

Negative on both fronts chief. If your friend is half as cool as me, then he's 99% cooler than everyone else.

I could see maybe some of the people from instate relying on the cards a bit hard, but for the most part the OOS students have cash to blow.

I'd venture to say just OM families do this only slightly more, if not the same, as your average family.

Our shitty housing market is a glaring example of this. People buying houses they can't afford trying to fit in. This isn't some grand thing that OM families do.

And SC isn't competitive year in and year out. They caught a lot of breaks last year to just win their very first East title.

FWIW......I'm paying my entire way through college. Ole Miss has received 25k on my schooling and I only owe 2 grand.

You don't even realize how wrong this statement is. Yes there are some poor uneducated people that choose MSU as their team. But I know and have seen A LOT of really redneck, poor, white trash people choose allegiance with OM (and they really hate MSU).

And the ones i'm talking about were really bad, like the hillbilly missing half their teeth live in a trailer type. Both schools have these fans so don't act like OM doesn't. I've actually noticed OM gets some really trashy fans due to the "rebel" name

Good to know you aren't a Mussie. Really though it is a bit of a mind frick because I was 99% sure. You have the speaking style, musical taste, and Met's fandom.

The best in state kids were leaving to play at Fl, Au, Tn, Clemson, etc. Now they are locking down the state and we'll see if it pays off. I bet it does.

It's simple really. Who the hell would want to move to Mississippi?

And the people growing up there don't know any better....

I know there are many wealthy people at OM, no denying that, hell I was fricking a girl up there for about a month that had a half million dollar townhouse and drove a mercedes, and had 3 horses back home worth 75 grand apiece.

My point was is this is not every OM student, alot of them are middle class just like most MSU students. I'm friends with a guy whose parents can barely afford his tuition at OM, and he is able to pull off the "rich" look by selling fake ID's and cocaine. he is #winning btw.

That's impressive. Think of how much extra cash you would have if you weren't an idiot and have gotten a scholarship.

Throughout the Fall-Spring semesters, I'll have anywhere between 3-6 jobs at any given time.

Some months, I might collect 8-10 paychecks.
