Maybe just need time for the transition

Also use 247. LSU had most of their “top target” commit.

OSU and UGA had most of their “top target” commit or “warm”

Most of Baman’ and Auburn’s “top targets” are “cool”

I could recruit a top class to Alabama. It’s the greatest program in the history of college football at this point.

I am not defending the Aub here because I am biased but I am pretty sure that prediction was a part of a day where all writers had to put in a prediction.

Regardless I am sure we wanted the recruit so congrats Bama.

Considering that DeBoer has only been on campus for a short period of time this is a goofy take.

A lot of people are going to be hurting from this thread. Reading through it, it's become self-evident. Bama always Bama. You guys should know that by now

It's a take based on math.

Look, as I said, I don't know yet if Deboer can recruit to a level close to Saban. He hasn't yet (in his stops prior to Bama), but he hasn't been at Bama yet either.

But using early recruiting results to talk trash with Auburn when the teams Bama should be comparing themselves with are well ahead of them so far in recruiting is a silly thing to do.

Bama will out-recruit Auburn this year. But if that leaves them at 6th-8th in the recruiting rankings, that's a huge drop off in talent from what Saban normally brought in. That's not a positive.

It's March, there's like 9 months to signing day.

Did you post this in the dozens of threads that were started in January and February about our 2025 class and the “mass exodus?”

We were told DeBoer would only recruit 2 and 3 stars from the PNW and the days of Bama recruiting at or near the top of CFB were over.

Correct, except Kelly saved a program from going into decline. Has a lot more experience too. LSU is trending upward and it’s pretty obvious. Bama on the other hand, considering they were 2 miracles away from 2 and possibly 3 losses, and certainly from getting a playoff berth, it doesn’t look good. The decline is happening.

Bama fans cannot fathom this and I’m genuinely worried. I want to stay interested in the Bama game. I am in your corner.

Based on what metric? You just finished in 3rd place in your own division & fielded one of the worst defenses in SEC history a year after winning the West.

Kelly just lost 7 games in two years with 5 of them being blowouts, all with a Heisman winner playing QB for him.

Yeah. "Trending up."
