20 days ago, this was Freeze's quotes:

"I know nothing," Freeze told reporters on an SEC teleconference on Thursday. "I'm not involved in the fact-finding process, but I'm confident that our administration is going to find the facts and then give us a good report."

Tunsil's attorney comes out to says that the text are not something new and he was told nothing will come of it. People blow him off with nothing to disprove it. Now Neuheisel says that Freeze talked with him on the issue and they have answers for the issues

Why didn't Neuheisel say it was nothing new like the lawyer? Two different excuses and both are true?

Neuheisel said himself that he wasn't getting into what he was told just that there were answers and it would go away. He didn't say it was anything new either. Unless I missed were he said that?

And things can't change from then to now? The reply is being made public soon and if they have the answer the fact finding is over. He easily could have been brought in. A lot can happen in 20 days.

You mean what he was told during the part where he said
quote:

In talking with Hugh
?

You don't honestly think Hugh told him anything incriminating, do you? And if he didn't talk to Hugh but instead spoke to someone at NCAA, you don't expect that info to be accurate do you? Have we learned nothing from Danny Sheridan's "sources" at the NCAA?

If it turns out to not be a infraction and is being cleared up like both the source are yes. But we will find out when the NOA comes out. If it is in the NOA then it would be a issue and we will see how bad by the level of infraction but if it isn't then no I don't expect it to be an issue

He said he talked directly with Hugh. I don't think that he would hear negative stuff from Freeze but Freeze wouldn't say things like they have all the answers if it was bad. Freeze would have avoided giving anything away and kept with the line that we will know once the facts are released.

That was for Albert Means and Antonio Langham. You are confusing all the different Alabama players that have been proven to be paid.

Tell me how much Means and Langham were paid. I'll hang up and listen.

"In January 2001, former Trezevant assistant coach Milton Kirk asserted that head coach Lynn Lang had let colleges know that for $200,000 Lang would arrange for Means to play for Alabama. Kirk said that in the fall of 1999, he'd helped Lang broker a deal with several Alabama boosters in the Memphis area. During the fall, he'd gotten $30,000 from the boosters. The other $170,000 was paid when Means signed with the Crimson Tide in December."

"The FBI investigation led to the criminal conviction on February 2, 2005 of Alabama booster Logan Young for paying $150,000 in cash to Lang through 1999 and 2000 in order to have Means play football at Alabama. Lang and Kirk also received criminal convictions for their roles in Means' recruitment."

Nice. Did you bother to read what you posted?

See if you can tell me how much Albert Means was shown to have been paid. Let me help you with a hint. It is an amount slightly less that $1.

Lynn Lang is the one who got paid. Albert Means was never even aware that a deal was in place.

What was Hugh Freeze going to say RN? Was he going to indulge in all of the details of who when & where gets paid?

DAMNIT!

I wanted them to swallow the bait before I set the hook. It's a lot more fun when they're gut-hooked.

There will be punishment for OM regarding the allegations. I don't think that OM is trying to deny that none of the issues spanning multiple sports over several years are accurate. The question OM fans are concerned with is will there be damning allegations made regarding the current staff. That we don't know much about.

Hugh would be wise to pull those lips over his teeth and shut his damn mouth and let the Administration handle the issue. He shouldn't be giving interviews or "talks" with the likes of Rick Neuheisel while his employer is in the midst of a damn NCAA investigation involving multiple sports and potential academic fraud. WTF Hugh?

That was really my point, the other poster downplayed it to the point of just being negative PR.

Why won't they just make the NOA public? Are they even challenging any of the allegations?

We've already taken 6 of the estimated 12 scholarship reductions in football. Most of the sticky stuff is with the other programs.

And the draft night stuff has nothing to do with this. And no, there isn't a second letter, or an amended letter, or even a second investigation. This is it. And it's not close to being IT.

And that ED man, he gonna have a heart attack when he sees what we brung him!

They are foolish if they think nothing will happen. The negative PR I think circles around the news articles when the allegations were made with Freeze's picture up when few allegations are likely tied to him. Also, the who Draft Night debacle may well end up nothing but negative PR. But punishment for one or more sports at the school are likely on the way.
