They know about the Saunders infractions sense early 2013. The NOA was no surprise they have been working with the NCAA the whole time. I'm not saying it's true but wouldn't be shocked.

What? Y'all didn't even get the NOA until a week or two before NSD this year and according to some of your posters football was supposed to be minuscule and only a couple of secondary's.
Why the hell would OM have self-imposed 3 scholarships in the 2015 signing class and then 3 more in the 2016 signing class when they didn't even know the severity of the NOA that was received late January '16?
That makes no sense.
probably because this would take some actual, in-depth, thinking.
Do you honestly think our administration wasn't told by the NCAA ahead of time what would be in the NOA and that they were just sitting around watching re-runs of Fraiser when all of the sudden the mail-man dropped off the letter?

I'll be the first one to say I hope y'all get caught red-handed. Ole Miss was the only crappy team in the last two years that beat us and it only makes sense that y'all cheated to do so.

So...you long for a world where the youth of America can smoke marijuana free from the racial shackles that have burdened our society for far too long?
Are they to cast down the chains of social injustice so that they can pick up the bong?
Or could it be that Tunsil fully realized the racial ramifications of the moment, but also knew that "them Honkey muthafrickers got really good weed."

shhhhhh....that isn't true. They were toooooooooootally surprised about it and in no way knew ahead of time what they NCAA alleged them of doing.

We imposed a post season ban on women's basketball in 2012 and that NOA just came now. So WBB self imposed in 2012 but for football to self impose in 2015 is just crazy talk huh?

Absolutely because everything in your life is shite that will break or expire so might as well smoke a little buddha to weed through the bullshite in life. Which is why we the university provide a one hitter and a dime bag in addition to the piggly wiggly bags of cold hard cash.

quote:No, not crazy at all. But many of your fans swore there was no investigation into football at all. When in reality OM Administration was busy doing preventative maintenance and cutting scholarships while the investigation was on-going. Good on OM, seems like they have already served a good portion of any punishment that could be coming. I'm sure that's why Neuheisel and Freeze feel confident that this will all just go away quietly.

They will get hit with the Saunders stuff similar to ULL.
Apples and oranges.
Saunders was caught actively cheating by the NCAA at ULL. ULL either wasn't aware it and not doing their on due diligence, or chose to ignore it. He also allegedly was paying kids in addition to the academic stuff
Saunders started to cheat while at OM, but was found out, and subsequently fired, by Pete Boone. We reported him to the NCAA which led to ULL's investigation.
So School A proactively got rid of Saunders upon finding out what he was up to, and School B embraced him (or was too stupid to catch him). Not to mention the time frames. Which school would/should be punished worse?

Yeah before I really looked into this a year ago I new nothing about the investigation. It's just funny how people say Ole Miss has been saying nothing was going on because some uninformed fans said that. The administration has been honest and all over it from the start.
I'm interested to see the NOA and reply to see how it really played out.

The greatest thing Pete Boone did for Ole Miss athletics.

Yes there is show me where an ole miss official lied about it. I can show you were Bjork talked about us being under investigation the whole time.

Gonna go away quietly? I was worried, for a minute, that the NCAA was going to step up and do the right thing. If I'm USCWest, then I'm looking at the NCAA with North Carolina, Miami and possibly Ole Miss and wondering, "WTF did we do?"
Couldn't agree more having grown up as a USCWest fan. They should have their BCS title reinstated. And in terms of WTF did we do, that's why Todd McNair sued them and courts found NCAA pre-determined the punishment.

He did hire Bianco and Kennedy.
I still can't believe that a-hole tried to keep former players from using our facilities in the offseason after they came out and spoke against him.

The NCAA taking away, and then giving back, wins at penn state was ridiculous as well. Then news breaks that Penn State covered up this entire thing for far longer. Meanwhile, they made damn sure Alabama had to vacate 21 wins over god damn text books. Their inconsistency is the scary part. You have no idea what punishment they'll decide to actually follow through on.
