I dont know how many practices the UGA fans saw that said Mett was better.
Maybe it was based only on the spring game.

I'm strongly inclined to believe that that is the case. Let me ask you this- if Mett had stunk up that spring game and Murray lit it up, would yall still think Mett would be starting over Murray? Based on everything each has done since- Murray playing well at UGA and mett at JUCO, would yall still think the way you do?
I really believe that the overwhelming majority of people who say "Mett would be starting at UGA right now over murray" are basing that 100% on what they saw in one practice.

Here's what one NFL scout attending the Manning Passing Academy had to say about both:
LSU QB Zach Mettenberger is a very big man. He is at least 6-5 and he could easily carry 240 pounds on his frame. His delivery can get long at times, but he has outstanding arm strength. Mettenberger threw a beautiful deep ball during Saturday's workout. His accuracy and touch underneath are both works in progress entering his junior season.
Georgia QB Aaron Murray was shorter than I anticipated, but he was outstanding during Saturday night's throwing session. This junior is a good inch shorter than senior counterparts Barkley and Wilson, but he matched them throw for throw. He has very clean footwork in his drops, as well as a compact delivery. Murray can generate a lot of velocity and his accuracy was excellent at all three levels. I was surprised at how powerfully he threw the deep ball. Murray had as much range as any quarterback at the camp.

I'm basing it on contemporaneous reports and what your own AJ Green had to say about him. Said he reminded him of, wait for it, Matt Stafford. Come on chief, there was some serious smoke about Mettenberger in that camp that was not based solely on his G-Day performance--which, for the record, was by far and away the best of the Gray, Murray, Mett trio.

From that:
Mett-
positive- size, power
negatives- accuracy, touch, delivery
Murray-
positive- footwork, delivery, velocity, accuracy, power, range
negatives- size
Is it really that far fetched to think that when they arrived at the same school at the same time that Murray would be ahead of Mett in the QB competition?

Yeah, Mett has a really strong arm. No one is denying that.

Yes, that 1 practice out of 15 saw mett outperform murray, I've never debated that.
And yes, there are some valid comparisons between mett and Stafford. They both have rocket arms, but they were also both extremely raw with awful decision making when they got to campus. And let's be real, matt was a 5*, #1 overall draft pick which mett wasn't/even close to.

9/10 women prefer the balls to go deep.
9/10 UGA women like shortballs
I have solve the mystery of why Murry is favored at Georgia.

And once again I'll say, I know this because not only did I watch them in practice,

but I have 2 friends who WORK FOR THE TEAM who saw them everyday and they also disagree with you.
You and your friends aren't coaches, so you guys don't know shite either. Even if you did see them in practice.
Fact is, we will never know who Richt and the coaching staff had as the leader going in.
Usually the 6'5 guy has a leg up on the barely 6'1 guy. But, if Mett was immature then and had trouble grasping the playbook, then Murray may have very well been the leader.
AS far as arm goes, both of them have a strong arm with the edge to Mettenberger from what I've seen of both QBs.
Both have accuracy problems. I haven't seen enough of Mett to judge his decision making, so Murray may have him beat there.
Bottom line is this:
1. UGA fans claiming "for sure" Murray was ahead of Mett don't know shite unless they were on the UGA offensive coaching staff.
2. LSU fans claiming the opposite obviously don't know shite.
3. People who worked on the team who say murray was better don't know shite and just sound like sour grapes to me.

Short balls always trying to compensate

Mett's facial hair > Murray's white trash tattoos and FGT outfits.

Ha, ok buddy. Unless Richt or Bobo post on this board, what I've posted is about as close to the situation as you're gonna get here. I mean if we're discounting actual, firsthand knowledge from staff members who are with the team every single day then we might as well not post anything on this board again unless it comes straight from a coach's mouth.

Yes, false. Murray tweeted something along the lines of "I don't know how it started, but I definitely do not have a back tattoo"
