If you complain about georgia fans crying, then don't start the thread. We didn't start a thread complaining or crying. South carolina fans did.

Nothing would have been said fi not for your own fans. If you want to complain....complain to them.

So you're good with Missouri going to Atlanta again.

We're good with whoever has the best record going. South Carolina. Missouri. Florida. Georgia. Could be any of those.

No Tennessee?

I would put UT on that list, esp w/ UGA and USC already having 1 division loss, and terrible defenses

Yes it is, and was. But there's not a damn thing we can do about it now. South Carolina won and we have to win out and hope they lose again.

Exactly. I wish these threads would dry up and blow away. And, from what is being said over on the Georgia board, I think most UGA fans agree.

South Carolina wo the game. Time to focus on next week.

Congrats to the Gamecocks. It was a good hard fought game like we all thought it would be. But you better not stumble.

You never know. i THINK you have one more year. Next year you should contend. BUT...who knows. You could make noise this year. Did not mean to slight.

ESPECIALLY if you play us this year like you did last year.

I thought we were a year behind too, but that was until i saw ya'lls defenses, and UK taking UF to the wire, The east is a mess this year. Im really looking forward to our game, will tell us a lot about the future of the east this season

It's odd that a CBS announcer (with probably a producer in his ear), the referees and later ESPN all agreed last link is first down. They didn't even get a chance to talk it over.

Still looking for this mythical last link theory. Not what the rule book states. Like I said earlier, just curious for my own personal knowledge, not for the game. Gamecocks beat us. It's over. And Gary Danielson can't get half the player's names correct (with a producer in his ear). And if ESPN said it, it must be true.

SEC officials are never wrong, move along. They also like to be front and center during big SEC games.

If you want to complain about officials make sure your own coaching staff is not dumb enough to not give the ball to Gurley.

Holy shite, I just want to know what the actual rule is. Not complaining. I did Saturday night, but the game is over and nothing can be done about it. Gamecocks whooped our defense all night.

Nobody can seem to debunk this myth though. I would concede if I saw it in writing, but the rule book that I saw mentions nothing of links.

I believe it has to touch the pole. I don't think there is a last link rule.

it has to reach the pole(where the last link meets it) The picture floating around does not show if it does or doesnt at all because of several factors

There isn't. Gary was wrong.

Rule 1, Article VII(a):

"The yardage chain shall join two rods not fewer than 5 feet high, the rods’ inside edges being exactly 10 yards apart when the chain is fully extended."

LINK

I agree that the picture could be misleading. You could interpret the rule book to mean that the links dont mean shite where it states the inside edges of the poles are exactly 10 yards apart..

Moving on to Troy.

What good does it do for coaches to bring these things up???

The SEC is not going to fire anybody. The sec is not going to over turn the win.

There is no picture, because he didn't score.

Now, post it or finish photo-shopping it and post it.

Ill admit defeat here. I can't find the one I was referring to. The one I did find couldn't exactly be called "clear". It's not the right angle.
