Nope. I think it's a shame that the Bama program continues to wring everything out of their kids in a 3 or 4 year period. When players don't get flagged for launching themselves and leading with the crown of their helmets, they continue to do it. That takes a toll on the player over time.

Nick Saban gets paid a King's ransom to put a competitive product on the field every damn year. He is able to field a team that's consistently in contention for championships. He's doing the job he's paid to do and he's doing it at the highest level.

The man is writing history right now in the midst of the most restrictive era of college football.

How can an unbiased, logical person argue with Alabama's formula for success?

I don't think anyone actually think Saban is doing anything wrong, it's just the only real way to troll Alabama fans

Down voting will not make the perception go away....
alabama players entering the NFL as damaged goods is a reality that has already caught on in the NFL ....
The next shoe to drop is when recruits figure this out...

I've heard this a lot, which makes it strange that NFL teams keep drafting so many Alabama players. I believe we just had a draft where Alabama had as many players go in Round 1 as they ever have. Awful lot of GMs using their top picks on damaged goods.

In my opinion Nick Saban is already the greatest college football coach of all time.
And it's not even close.
Yes, even greater than Bear Bryant, but that's a subject for you gumps to deal with.
The point is at what cost?
There was a time when high school and college baseball coaches ruined young pitchers arms ....
Like it or not....the perception is becoming more prevalent that alabama players are damaged goods by the time they get to the NFL ....
It may only be a perception, but it is very real, and it's not just LSU fans saying this!

The new topic of conversation going forward is top 10 draft picks not playing in bowl games.....
If I'm the best player at my position in High School....do I want to go to alabama and have fricked ip shoulders and knees etc. When I get drafted....or would it be better if I was healthy with fresh legs?

Not sure how you can say this with the NCAA having become a largely toothless organization.

How much money did R Foster lose going from a top 5 pick to #31 in the draft?
Does he need another surgery?

Wonder what Bama is doing that other teams aren't doing that results in the players being used up?

More first rounders, more draft picks, and more all pros than any other school. Flies in the face of all of your attention-seeking, brother.

When was Foster a top 5 pick in the NFL draft? You seem to put too much stock in mock drafts. The mocks were all over the board this year compared to the actual draft results. Foster showed his arse at the combine and has a rotator cuff injury that apparently didn't heal from surgery like you would hope. Not surprising that a lot of teams decided not to take the risk on him with their first pick.

I have no idea. Let me check his medical chart real quick.

It's funny that Alabama just had the most pro-bowlers of any school (6) and just had 10 players drafted - 4 in the first round, 3 in the second round, 2 in the third round, 1 in the fourth - and you are trying to push the narrative that NFL teams see Alabama players as damaged goods. Do you even realize how silly this makes you look?

I realize Allen and Foster dropped from projections for very specific reasons (Allen - arthritic shoulders / Foster - rotator cuff injury and problematic combine behavior) but you are ignoring the mountain of evidence that shows Alabama players are very much a wanted commodity in the NFL.

Well if he went to Bama he might have played 15 games, gotten 400 carries and with all that wear and tear on his body slipped to the 2nd round and get stuck with a $5 million contract.

John Lynch said he would have drafted Foster #3 overall if the Bears had taken Solomon, so it looks like circumstances cost him more so than him costing himself. That said, he should have not listened to his agent and listened to the advice of the man who has been around him for the past 6+ years in Saban and used Andrews.

Lynch doesn't think so and claims their doctors (49ers use Stanford docs as they are very close in proximity) think the shoulder is healing well. Worst case scenario, they scope it again and he misses his rookie season. Jags drafted a guy in round 2 (and Cowboys did too) last year knowing they wouldn't play in year 1. It happens. Best case scenario, he continues to heal as 49ers' docs expect and he balls out in his rookie year.

Yet LSU had more players in the league...

That tells you many Bama guys are not staying in they league.
