This will help. Easiest schedule in the SEC according to Phill Steele.

THE SEC

Toughest: AUBURN (No. 1 nationally)

Easiest: GEORGIA (No. 58 nationally)

Defending national champion Georgia does open the season vs. Oregon in Atlanta but draws Mississippi State as its rotating opponent from the wild SEC West, thereby avoiding Alabama, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, and LSU all together. The Bulldogs also get the benefit of drawing Tennessee, which may finally be positioned to vie for an East division crown, at home.

Heading into 2021 UGA was ranked 111th in returning production, Bama was ranked 120th. I’d say this isn’t a good indication of anything.

You pay much attention to recruiting rankings?

Bama be scared.

The weirdness of this is that an OU fan is asking this question.

But we've won this division four of the past five seasons. Do you think the 2017 team and the 2021 team were the same guys?

Not sure that playing at State is going to be a cakewalk for Georgia. Obviously they should be favored but it would be dangerous to check this game off as an automatic win.

Just like Dobbs did.

Do you not see the huge difference in their game/skillset? Or are they the same because they are both black? Hooker has a significantly different skillset than Dobbs. Hooker is actually a QB and not a halfback like Dobbs.

1st year in system, new everywhere, you kinda expect year two to see a decent improvement. 7-6 should have been 10-3 for the Vols. This year, on paper, this is an 8-4 to 10-2 team. Vegas has the number at 7.5 (take the over) and barring injury they should realistically be at 8 or 9 regular season wins. Returning QB, staff in year 2 is mor significant than raw numbers.

Dobbs led the sec in passer efficiency in 2016, right at the same spot nationally as deshaun Watson, and also had 800 yards rushing as well.

Prior to the transfer portal returning production meant a good deal unless that production sucked.

With the transfer portal returning production means very little if anything

They are better and a lot more talented than Clemson who would lose 2-4 games a year with an SEC schedule.

Georgia recruits defensive players better than anybody. They also typically have a top 10 OL.

They’ll have a top 20 defense again this year and the best offense they’ve had under Kirby. And they’ll be a 2 TD favorite over every team on their schedule.

Kirby’s a Saban disciple. Take what you have every season and build on that. This season we’ll be without a lot of the starting talent on defense that we had last. We should still have a very serviceable D, but we have a crazy amount of talent on offense. I look for The Dawgs to set some offensive production records this season.

Doubtful with losses to Bama, Georgia, and 1-2 others.

Sure but replacing 9 starters on defense..lost most starting RBs/WRs from last season…y’all expect to run the table in the SEC again?

Serious question, not trolling.
