I feel like people like you just say stuff without watching games. Their offensive philosophy has been completely different under Shula than Chudzinski. Shula is much more conservative (as you should be acutely aware) and prefers a more traditional run-oriented system which, given their personnel, gets the offense into trouble in later downs. Chudzinski ran something akin to Malzahn's offense when Cam was at Auburn, emphasizing the read-option and misdirection. This was especially effective in the red zone. When Shula became the OC after Chudzinski left for Cleveland, the offense suffered. Dramatically.

When Carolina started off so poorly last year, Shula implemented aspects of the read option into the offense and suddenly it was vastly improved. Perhaps you should not say things like

if you were never paying attention in the first place so as to avoid sounding like an ignorant fool.
