Memphis, La Tech, UAB, UT Martin. There's your four. I'll give you Ole Miss for 5 but the jury is way out on that. UK and UGA have pretty close to the same caliber teams as you. I actually think UGA is better, but you guys have the home front so I'll give you those two for 7. South Carolina is just better. They'll win. And continuing Mullen's role as another W for West teams outside of Ole Miss...Bama, Auburn, LSU, and Arky are all Ls.

So there you go. I just figured out a way to give you a legit 7-5, with UGA and Ole Miss possibly being games you lose as well.

Auburn is not going to be any good.

Yall aren't going to be any good.

UGA is at home, and they lost a lot of olinemen, the best wr in the country, the best rusher in the SEC, and are going to start a true frosh at rb.

South Carolina is South Carolina and as long as the Messican is playing QB they could lose to anybody.

I think we can pull one out of Bama, LSU, and Arkansas.

Every thread ends up like that.

We need some threads that focus on the positives without a lot of criticism. Not positives of OM over State or vice versa, but just positives for your team. That's what I tried on the previous page.

I'll give it a try on a new post.

Auburn returns a solid team. They won't be national champions good, but they'll still be good. They racked up a lot of great recruiting classes. Plus we're talking about a SEC road game.

Ole Miss.....jury is still out on that. This is an offense that averaged 30 points per game, returning one of the SEC's best rushers, and an O-line that is experienced AND talented. But definitely a work in progress. It's a rivalry game with Houston Nutt having a fire under his butt. I have y'all as favored, and I gave you this win already in my previous post.

UGA actually returns a good bit of playing experience on the o-line. They return a QB who threw what... 3,000, 24 TDs and 6 INTs? They will be better than you think. And.....best rusher in the SEC? Ummm...not sure if you're serious.

South Carolina has a talented team that looks like they've been together forever now. And Lattimore is that dude. Garcia > Relf. Lattimore > Ballard. South Carolina's D > State's D. SC is really a better team than State, point blank.

And the only way you're pulling one out of Bama, LSU, and Arky is if you get Taylor Stone to jerk hard enough.

No they don't look at who they return, that would be no one.

Ole Miss

No QB, Masoli was your offense last year. Your defense is going to be hot garbage again. I will grant you that Bolden and your oline will be legit.

UGA

I meant the pass rusher Houston, should have made that clearer. Murray is legit, but they lost 3 of their top 4 receivers. Their defense is still below average, they ended the season with a lackluster loss to UCF.

South Carolina

South Carolina is loaded no doubt about it. I am just saying that the way Garcia plays he can lose them a game at anytime.

Sounds like a plan.

Michael Dyer. And enough to beat State at home.

I don't understand why we're still bringing up Ole Miss when I gave you that win already.

UGA's QB play will be what puts them up. Last season they had a complete defensive scheme change. But...again, you're bringing up a team where I gave you the win.

You still haven't brought up any point to prove that your team is better than South Carolina.

Forgot Taylor doesn't go there anymore. Well, yeah, you guys have no hope for Ws in those games or whatever else you wanted to pull out.

I gave you 7-5, you said I can't be serious, and you've yet to make any valid argument that drastically changes that record. You're arguing people I've already included as wins, and you're confirming people I've already included as losses.

What's your point here?

We were better than South Carolina last year. We return basically the same things. We had a better scoring defense and they had a better scoring offense, but we had more yards per game than they did.

In common opponents, they got crushed by Arkansas, we went to double OT. They got crushed by Auburn, we lost by 3. We both beat Florida. They lost to Kentucky, who we beat. We both beat UGA. They did beat Bama whom we got crushed by.

I don't know where you are coming up with this thought that South Carolina is an automatic win for them.

Auburn returns Michael Dyer with zero offensive line and no QB. They are not going to be good.

You were better than South Carolina when?

South Carolina went 9-3 last year. LIGHT YEARS ahead of State. They ended their year losing to top team Auburn, and a 10 win FSU team.

They had the daunting task of playing Cam Newton twice. Trust me, had State played Cam Newton at the end of the season rather than the beginning....they'd be facing that same butt whipping. They lost to Auburn by a TD in their first meeting.

They beat the crap out of Bama. Something State couldn't do in their dreams.

And they got beat by Mallet. A top 10 team.

So they're 3 losses were two top 10 teams, and a SEC road upset. And their schedule was WAAAYYY harder than State's.

And they return everybody. They were better than State last year and they're even better than State this year.

They went 9-5

We went 9-4

We finished 15th and they finished 22nd in the polls.

They played in the east which fricking sucked.

They lost to Kentucky.

Arkansas made them their bitch, we went to double OT with them.

They were not better than us last year, and will not be better than us this year.

And we beat Bama with the Slytanic twice, so I think we can beat them.

They went 9-3 and lost in the SEC championship game and lost their Bowl. That's 9 and 3 with two post season losses to two teams that State would lose to as well.

Their poll rank is based off how they finished. Woe is them for having to play the SEC championship game.

They played in the East. But they also played against Alabama, Auburn, and Arkansas.

You both lost to Arkansas. And the whole "we only lost by this much and they lost by that much so we're better" is a pretty elementary claim. And it's even a bit funnier since you both lost. You're trying to convince me who is the least loser?

Oh and by your logic...they beat Florida by 22, y'all only beat Florida by 3. They are way better than y'all.

They were definitely better than you last year, and returning a 3,000 yard passer, 1,000 yard rusher, and 1,500 yard WR...they will be better than y'all again this year.

Fine

South Carolina lost to Kentucky, whom we beat, they got to play Vanderbilt and Kentucky and add in UGA and TENN and 4 of their conference games were against teams with losing records. Whereas we only got to play 3.

To assume we would have loss to a mediocre Florida State team from the ACC is ridiculous. South Carolina didn't come prepared to play and paid for it after getting arse raped in the SEC Champ game. They ended 9-5. We ended 9-4. To say they played a harder schedule is crazy. We played in the hardest division in the history of college football.

The bottom line here is very simple. Your school is the proverbial blind squirrel and this season was your nut. Now instead of acting like you are now somehow relevant I suggest you bask in this past season because never again will a team from there be so lucky and catch so many breaks. Enjoy your 8th bowl appearance in your program's history instead of comparing yourselves to us. You'll never catch up.

Come on guy I know you can be more analytical than just saying "they 9-5, we 9-4"

Your 9 wins came against no team who won over 8 games. So why would I assume you could beat a 10 win FSU team? I mean really...lol.

They beat Bama, bruh. They lost only 3 games. 2 against two top 10 teams.

They lost the SEC championship game to a team that nobody beat. And you're counting that against them? Lol.

They were, and are, better man.

We have made it to Atlanta and you haven't. Do you really think that you will be better than us next year?

It's plain and simple.

Did you have a 3,000 yard passer? NO

Did you have a 1,000 yard rusher? NO

Did you have a 1,500 yard receiver? NO

Did you go to the SEC championship game? NO

Did you beat Alabama? NO

Did you beat ANY team who won more than 8 games? NO

Did you have a 9 win regular season? NO

Did you beat anyone in the West with a winning record? NO

Will you have the same DC in 2011 that you did in 2010? NO

Did you pull in a top 25 recruiting class? NO

Did ANY team you beat end up ranked in the final poll? NO

South Carolina can answer YES to each and every one of those questions.

We had more yards per game than they did offensively.

Did you have a 1,000 yard rusher? NO

They used one running back, we used three and had 3 guys over 500 yards, killed them in total running yards. Ballard shared touches and had 19 touchdowns, Lattimore had 17 in an extra game.

quote:

Did you have a 1,500 yard receiver? NO

Jeffrey is better than anyone we have that much is true.

quote:

Did you beat Alabama? NO

Nope, but they lost to Kentucky.

quote:

Did you beat ANY team who won more than 8 games? NO

They beat one team that won more than 8 games and had an easier schedule.

quote:

Did you have a 9 win regular season? NO

No, but we both ended with 9 wins.

quote:

Did you beat anyone in the West with a winning record? NO

STRONGEST DIVISION of all time, they beat one team in the east that had a winning record.

quote:

Did you pull in a top 25 recruiting class? NO

Not sure how this is relevant for next year.

We had more yards per game than they did. We had a better points per game allowed than they did against a harder schedule.
