I am glad we have Lacy. I just believe as the season progresses and Yeldon gets acclimated to the speed of the SEC, his role in the offense will become more essential. I feel the same about Demetrius Hart. There is too much talent to just put everything on Lacy's shoulders.

Ahh, Alabama football, where the second and third stringers are better than first. Time honored traditions.

Is that really just an Alabama football thing? I thought it was pretty universal

No. You can't deny it. For years now the guy in waiting at bama is the more talented guy. Although happens at a lot of places.
Also can you show me where anybody has said mason is better than.dyer.

To be fair, this has been the case since 2007
Coffee>Darby/Grant
Ingram>Coffee
Richardson>Ingram
BUT, no one in their right mind really believes that this will be the case this year.

T Rich was not better than Ingram in 2009. Ingram was not better than Coffee in 2008. I remember in the middle of the 2008 season Ingram hit a wall and couldn't do shite. Julio did the same thing. Julio dropped about 40 passes against LSU.

lacy isn't close to trent talent wise...
You will not be able to find a post by me saying 1 of the 3 is or was better than the others.
A few years ago, a poster whose opinion I value much more than yours said Lacey was better than Richirdson and Mark.

If he has no injury trouble you may eat those words. We'll see.

I know what you meant. You're speaking in terms of talent and overall body of work. And I agree.

(Not in response to Funky tide replied to the wrong person)
I have heard a ton of Bama fans say that Hart and Yeldon are more talented than Lacy and some have even said that Yeldon will be the starter by the 3rd or 4th game.To think that a true Freshman and a Freshman who have never taken a snap in a college game are better than a guy who over the last two years has had over 1000 yards and 13 tds on 150 carries is ridiculous to me.
I think that Yeldon and Hart are talented and have potential, but to say that they are more talented than Lacy before ever seeing one of them take a college snap?

The A&M fan thinks his team has the best RB's in the nation.

I think Hart will be more situational, like Roy Upchurch was in 2009.

We had more talent in 2009 when Ingram got 270 carries and had TR and Upchurch backing him up.We also had Lacy who redshirted.Ingram had TR backing him up and got 271 carries, TR is better than Yeldon in all likelihood. If Hart turns out to be as good as Upchurch I will be happy as fak, Upchurch was a beast.
