Return on investment, is not an academic quality indicator, there would have to be a lot more variables to get that answer.

Why do most AU people act like AU is so far ahead academically compared to Bama?

Where in the thread before you posted did an AU fan make that distinction?

I wonder why Ole Miss' is so low. It is very cheap to go to and most people I know have had some success.

I wasn't specifically talking about in this thread. I am talking about people I know, friends of mine, that have told me over and over gain how much better of an education you get at AU, etc.

If you are indeed an educated man than you wouldn't pay no mind to what some friends or others say about the value of your degree. I have found that you as an individual determine the true value of the degree. Granted there are certain schools that give you a leg up starting out, but you ultimately will determine the true value.

don't discount LSU's business program. i hate to say, esp. accounting but it's true. i know lot's of very successful LSU business grads. i call successful 200+K but i'm sure there will be disagreements there. as i have aged i have come to see success as folks that are happy and not taking money from the government.

I imagine LSU would be a lot higher if we had a nursing program.

The LSU accounting/finance programs are great as well. The big four accounting firms are always recruiting here. Goldman Sachs and MLbofa some as well. Several of the finance professors manage multi billion dollar funds, teaching on the side. Plus the business school was just rebuilt.
