Maybe your graduates aren't making a lot of money like ours are

That list is such a fricking joke on so many levels.

A&M's admission into the SEC was HUGE for the SEC.
1) lot's of tv sets - contract $$$$
2) Added an additional AAU school
3) A&M fans are great

I'm pretty sure our business school students do pretty well.

So this is just a little brother fap thread?
It is a good talk about academics. ROI for school is becoming a big focus for parents now.
It used to be that a college degree meant success, the market is flooded by cheap degrees from diploma mills.
The SEC needs to make big strides academically. AU has done well academically under Gogue and with the new Endowment drive about to be made public that will be a big boost.
The SEC as a whole needs make major changes in this area. I love sports and watching my school do well but academics is far more important.

Why do most AU people act like AU is so far ahead academically compared to Bama? Both are really good state schools, especially to be their size competing against each other. Both have made great strides academically over the last few years. Neither are ivy league schools. Why can't we just be proud to say we have two quality institutions in our great State?

Meh. The author of the article plainly stated that you have to place all data in context.
A nursing degree from a school ranked near the bottom is still much better than a liberal arts degree from a school ranked closer to the top.

I'm pretty sure the Oil and Gas industry is kicking arse and bringing a couple of SEC Schools along for the ride.
Sorry for drilling and refining, y'all.

We don't have a great liberal arts college. Like prime example we average a total of 55 theatre majors. We also don't have similar selection that other colleges.

Not surprising that Ole Miss is as low as they are given all of the soriostitutes majoring in husband hunting.

The schools are damn near identical in academics except that Auburn has the better engineering program and Alabama has a better business program. I am proud that we have two good schools in state.

Yes...thank God for aTm joining the SEC. The conference was struggling so much before they joined...barely squeaking by financially, and hardly won anything.
