Ranking the SEC after Week 6

1) Alabama
Last Week: #1
Bama continues to roll. These next two weeks will be a tough test, but as of now I don't see anyone in the SEC stopping them.
2) Texas A&M
Last Week: #2
The Aggies are now a clear #2. The SEC West should be decided in two weeks when they travel to Tuscaloosa.
3) Ole Miss
Last Week: #3
While they've looked very good at times, the loss to Florida State is really perplexing. I think Ole Miss is one of those "Hot or Cold" type teams. When they are hot, they can probably beat anyone. When they are cold, they could very well lose any game.
4) Tennessee
Last Week: #7
I had Tennessee #7 last week because they failed to play like a Top 10 or even Top 20 team in any one game all season long. Despite the loss on Saturday, they played their best game of the season. The struggles against App State, Ohio, and quite frankly Georgia still raise some red flags. But taking the Aggies to OT in College Station was impressive. And the Virginia Tech win is now looking very solid... far more so than even a week ago.
5) Auburn
Last Week: #4
Auburn fell in my rankings, but improved their stock overall. This appears to be a very solid team that ought to compete in every game left on their schedule... including the Iron Bowl. I still think they probably lose to Ole Miss and Alabama, and I would like to think Georgia can beat them in Athens. But Auburn will win one of those for sure and finish 8-4.
6) LSU
Last Week: #5
Didn't play.
7) Georgia
Last Week: #8
By far the biggest gap between any two teams is between the Top 6 and the bottom 8. Eason is young, and obviously has loads of talent, but right now our passing game is just not where it needs to be. The O-line looks bad. The defense seems to be improving.
8) Florida
Last Week #9
Did not play.
9) Arkansas
Last Week: #6
Austin Allen has some talent. The rest of Arkansas' team looks horrific. This is essentially Vandy with a very talented QB. If Arkansas doesn't beat Florida on November 5th, then they are one game into a 5-game losing streak. They won't beat Ole Miss, Auburn, or LSU.
10) Missouri
Last Week: #11
Did not play.
11) Mississippi State
Last Week: #10
This is Dan Mullen's worst team. They looked absolutely pathetic against Auburn. Would not be shocked to see them finish 3-9... that would include losses at BYU and at Kentucky.
12) Kentucky
Three wins in 4 weeks... and a competitive first half showing against Alabama in that one loss. No one saw this coming after that horrible performance in Gainesville Week 2. With upsets of Mississippi State and Missouri, this team could miraculously make a bowl game. Don't see it happening, but they seem to be improving.
13) South Carolina
Last Week: #13
This is just a very bad football team.
14) Vanderbilt
Last Week: #14
This team may be the worst SEC team of the past decade. They are THAT bad.

They turned the ball over 7 times. SEVEN. How A&M didn't blow them out, idk, but you think they played their best game of the season turning it over 7 times?

Would swap Tennessee and Ole Miss.
Also would swap MSU and Kentucky.
Pretty solid though.

Hard to argue. If anything, Vols/Rebs tied at 3. I have a hard time finding separation between the two.

This shouldn't be perplexing at all. We opened with a very young team on the road against a talented team returning 17 or 18 starters. Yeah, they're not as good as everyone thought they'd be, but the reason we lost is pretty easy to understand.
ETA: the list looks reasonable me. You could argue Tennessee at #3 (although we've played more complete games than Tennessee).

Very good list...I'd swap Arkansas and UGA but that's about it. UGA just doesn't seem to be a very good football team...except for hanging with UT, they haven't looked good all year and have big problems across the board. Arkansas has problems too but I give them way more credit for hanging 30 on Bama than I give UGA for playing Tennessee competitively.
As an Auburn fan, I am way more worried about Arkansas than UGA.

I'd swap UGA and UF, but I think you're pretty spot on. 3-6 are really close.

Did you not watch a single Vanderbilt game two years ago?

What exactly has LSU done to be at 6?

Complained endlessly on every form of sports medium since last Friday
