Back during the Shula years when the DKE house was in front of the stadium they had an elephant on their lawn for a homecoming game. It was a big deal and everybody got real excited over it but from what I've heard is the University won't allow anyone to do it again.

That would have been epic.

So all three schools have some REAL tiger connection?

I know what LSU's connection to the tiger mascot is. I can't speak for the other two, but I imagine theirs are also unique to them.

We also have a great live animal that would literally destroy others' dogs, cats, and chickens.

Mike would like a word with your mascot.

No, but I don't think most people care either.

You really spun off an entire thread on a comment I made in the uniforms thread?

Yeah because rifles are everyone's first thought when the word Tigers is used.

Anyone who saw the 30 for 30 does.

this obviously wasn't your best effort. I RA'd on your behalf so you can regroup and give it another shot.

Didn't the entire Ole Miss student body join a Confederate Mississippi regiment at the start of the Civil War and it suffered a 100% casualty rate? I remember reading that a while back.

I hope they learned something. Look, I am a southerner. I applaud their service to their state in a cause that SEEMED right at the time, but it wasn't. To cling to a name that. at its core, represents a reprehensible institution and time in our history does not sit well with people. Whether the whole school fought or not is irrelevant to that point.

9) Commodores
This one has no immediately obvious connection to the school, but being named after the school founder is sort of cool. It is also a human mascot, so a bit weak.

Lol. Wut? Do you even know the history behind the school's name and mascot? The school is named after Cornelius Vanderbilt, who was also known as COMMODORE(because of his illustrious naval empire). Learn some history you Arkansas pleb.
