Lol, where did the 17th loss disappear to?

For some reason, their loss in the 06 Rose Bowl was also vacated.

Not really. Arkansas won it 13x but hasn't even won the SEC once since starting SEC in play in 92.

Took me forever to find that. Why did it get vacated? I Reggie Bush for the year before that.

It was vacated for the same reason the rest of the games were. An illegal player played in it.

Why they vacated a loss when they rarely do came as a byproduct of having the BCS title involved in the previous year.

Yea that makes a whole lot of sense because we had the same coaches and players in the SEC that we had in the SWC. Some people and their intelligence

Or maybe it shows that the SWC was much weaker than the SEC?

LSU
Claimed National Titles: 3 (1958, 2003, 2007)
Unclaimed National Titles: 4 (1908, 1935, 1936, 1962)
Total Conference Titles: 14
All-time Record: 753-398-47 (.648)
Bowl Game Appearances: 45

Georgia
Claimed National Titles: 2 (1942, 1980)
Unclaimed National Titles: 2 (1927, 1946)
Total Conference Titles: 14
All-time Record: 768–406–54 (.647)
Bowl Game Appearances: 48

Auburn
Claimed National Titles: 2 (1957,2010)
Unclaimed National Titles: 3 (1913, 1983, 1993)
Total Conference Titles: 12
All-time Record: 733–416–47 (.633)
Bowl Game Appearances: 38

Florida
Claimed National Titles: 3 (1996, 2006, 2008)
Unclaimed National Titles: 1 (1984)
Total Conference Titles: 8
All-time Record: 684–395–40 (.629)
Bowl Game Appearances: 40

Therefore, if we were to rank the schools by these 5 criterion:

Claimed/Unclaimed National Titles:
1. LSU [7 Titles]
2. Auburn [5 Titles]
3. (tied) Florida/Georgia [4 Titles]

Total Conference Titles
1. (tied) Georgia/LSU [14 Titles]
2 Auburn [12 Titles]
3. Florida [8 Titles]

All Time Record Percentage:
1. LSU [.648]
2. Georgia [.647]
3. Auburn [.633]
4. Florida [.629]

Bowl Game Appearances:
1. Georgia [48]
2. LSU [45]
3. Florida [40]
4. Auburn [38]

We also have 1985 as unclaimed.

Edit: You're missing 1927 and 1968 for Georgia.

1985? The only selector that awarded UF champion for 1985 was Steve Eck.

LSU could claim 11 NC's if that was the case

1908
1935
1936
1958
1959 (1 selector)
1962
2001 (1 selector)
2003
2006 (1 selector)
2007
2011 (7 selectors)

According to the NCAA, Florida split Sagarin in 1985, taking ELO Chess.

That's just the NCAA, mind you. It's not some wack job website that really knows better, so take it for what it's worth.

I agree the SWC was weaker but comparing what we did in that conference in that era to what we've done in the SEC isn't really relevant. We had multiple hall of fame coaches during our time there. Where as in the SEC not so much. Plus the SEC is a much stronger conference now then it was back then. Its not like we haven't been really close to winning the Sec anyway. A few lucky breaks in those seasons and we could have 2 or 3 titles now.

I think some people think LSU appeared in 2001 after 80 years of irrelevance.

We had a bad 90's, that's it

Well done.

Which clearly shows that AU and UF are *NOT* in any kind of tier *below* UGA, which is fricking laughable. And that if LSU *is* in a tier above those three, their tier is one about 10-20% better, not a degree better.

More wins, conference championships, and bowl appearances? Why would you not put them on different tiers?

Georgia and LSU pretty close. It's that the last NC for Georgia was during the Carter Administration. Herschel flexing and kicking arse as an MMA fighter doesn't bring that ranking up any.
