LSU will 100% pass UT, as long as something crazy doesn't happen at LSU(aka death penalty type

We have 50+ more wins, 2 more conf champions, 4 more bowl apps, 6 more ten win seasons, more players in the hof, etc. when exactly are you planning on passing us?

Andddd...discuss. I feel Ole Miss is ranked a little too low. Highest bowl win % in nation, 3 National Championships, only behind Bama/UT/UGA in bowl wins, etc. Arkansas should be above Mizzou. A&M should be last, still haven't done anything in a real conference.

the SEC was no better than the SWC in the 60's 70's 80's

No. USC has a higher winning percentage on the field, or officially. You've got bad info.

Dude, it's not debatable...here are each teams bowl records:

USC: 32–17 (.653)
Ole Miss: 23–12 (.657)

Just in case you are incapable of math, .657 > .653

Care to continue arguing?

Does that include USC's vacated 05 Orange Bowl win and vacated 06 Rose Bowl loss?

I know it's not debatable, but you can't make up the numbers.

USC's bowl record is officially 32-16 with a winning percentage of .667.

.667 > .657

The same place the 33rd win disappeared to. You can't just pick and choose which you want to count like you did.

Again, you just can't make the numbers up. USC is officially 32-16 in bowls. Your opinion of what it is does not matter.

Auburn has won one national championship since the original expansion.

Florida has won three and still has more conference championships than Auburn.

I'm sure you see the error in your logic.

FWIW, over their entire gridiron history, AU has more overall victories, a higher overall winning percentage, more bowl victories, a better bowl winning percentage, more appearances in the final AP poll, and leads the head-to-head series. UF has one more NC; both teams have 8 SEC Championships, while AU had 4 more from the old Southern Conference in which UF was also a member.

True, AU has been inconsistent over the years - but until Spurrier was hired in '90, the Gators were consistently mediocre-to-bad.

That 1908 squad was the first Southern team to garner any national respect. Of course, Alabama had some great teams in the late 1910s and 1920s and won some Rose Bowls, but that 1908 LSU team can be credited for putting Southern football on the map.

Generally Alabama is considered the program that did this. The first southerner team to win against a northern program on the road, doing so against Penn in 1922. As well as the first southern team in a Rose Bowl and winning it.

I laugh when people say that. The SWC was good back in the day along with the Big 8.
