That squad was loaded, and to say the team that lost to Ohio St. was probably more talented than the team previous year team.

Only BCS championship team to shut out their opponent. And defeated the undefeated SEC champions, LSU's greatest team ever.

You weren't even the best team in your division.

Preseason AP poll #1 vs. Final AP Poll #1

1998: Ohio State -> Tennessee
1999: Florida State -> Florida State
2000: Nebraska -> Oklahoma
2001: Florida -> Miami
2002: Miami -> Ohio State
2003: Oklahoma -> USC* (LSU in coaches)
2004: USC -> USC
2005: USC -> Texas
2006: Ohio State -> Florida
2007: USC -> LSU
2008: Georgia -> Florida
2009: Florida -> Alabama
2010: Alabama -> Auburn
2011: Oklahoma -> Alabama
2012: USC -> Alabama
2013: Alabama -> Florida State

Only two schools have ever gone wire-to-wire #1: 1999 Florida State and 2004 USC

I would rate 09 Alabama higher, ahead of FSU at least. They finished the season beating the teams that finished #2 and #3, a pretty impressive feat.

way too high

Lol, no. Outside of LSU, not a single Alabama opponent finished a game within two touchdowns.

Don't be stupid. Everyone knows Alabama was the best team in 2011. They lost a game they dominated after missing four field goals, got a rematch and the absolutely humiliated the team they had lost to. There is no non-LSU fan alive that thinks anyone but Alabama was the best team that year.

Number 1 is right. That team is by far the best in the BCS era and could argue ever. 2 should be 2004 USC then 2005 Texas. After that 09 Bama then 2011 Bama. 2008 Florida would have killed 2013 FSU

FSU.

2011 Bama is the best team I ever saw.period.

Records=zero

Miami 1972 is not considered the best NFL team ever.

Any list ranking BCS champs that doesn't have 08 UF in the top 5 is a joke.

Wait? So Bama's 2011 team beats out FSU's 2013 team, but UF's 2008 team doesn't? UF 2008 had a MUCH better defense than what the Noles put out on the field last night and they faced just as dynamic an offense in Oklahoma 2008. Pointless list, at any rate.
