You seem upset that Alabama was not on the newly released Bloomberg Business Week rankings.

You seem upset that Wal-Mart school is not on the current Forbes ranking.

And, really, it unpardonable that you even started this shitty thread.

Why would I be upset?

I produced a newly released list. Every post of yours in this thread has a trail of tears.

That list is a ranking by the salary gain the average student gets from their MBA. Alabama's average pre-MBA student only makes $35k.

LSU's pre-MBA student only makes $25k.

Because you started a thread bragging about your shitty school only to immediately find that the current Forbes list, far more reputable than your shifty Bloomberg list, doesn't even list your shitty school at all. It's one thing merely to start a threads about the ranking of a business school, which would be a shitty thread for anyone - but it's even worse when the shitty thread just shows how shitty the program you were shittily bragging about really is.

the current Forbes list

The top end of it is actually somewhat meaningful. The bottom of it, not so much. It is simply a ranking of increase in base salary over 5 years post MBA.

The average MBA-seeker at Walton is more likely to already have a good job at a local Fortune 500 because there are three headquartered within 25 miles of campus.

That's the pre-MBA average of incoming students. The majority may have done undergrad at that school, but it certainly not the entire group.

Pre-MBA Salary
Texas A&M - $55K
Vanderbilt - $53K
Florida - $46K
Georgia - $42K
Alabama - $35K
Missouri - $28K
LSU - $25K

Post-MBA Salary
Vanderbilt - $134K
Florida - $118K
Texas A&M - $117K
Georgia - $103K
Alabama - $97K
LSU - $81K
Missouri - $79K

Considering regions of the country those students end up settling (Vandy/Florida - many in NE, A&M - many in Houston/Dallas, Georgia - many in ATL) it would make sense that there would be a 3-5% COL adjustment up for them as well.

After rating Villanova over Wharton, Bloomberg stops undergrad B School rankings

quote:

Dear Schools, After careful consideration, Bloomberg has decided that, after our 2016 undergraduate rankings publish on Tuesday, April 19, we will no longer publish undergraduate and part-time business program rankings. We will continue to publish our full-time MBA rankings annually. To reflect the popularity of programs targeted to undergrads and mid-career professionals, we will transition our coverage from rankings to regular editorial content on Bloomberg's Game Plan site...I am very thankful for the participation and support you've shown us over the years, and look forward to being in touch with you for editorial content moving forward.... Best, Francesca Levy, Game Plan Editor, Bloomberg Business

A lot of the undergrad only degrees are management/marketing type jobs. A finance or accounting job automatically requires graduate school, so anyone getting a job immediately after undergrad in one of those spots is basically taking a low level job.

Plus, low COL state.

So, it all adds up.

Yeah, that's the point. The top end of the list is pretty amazing. The bottom of the list is a combination of decent MBA program and low pre-MBA salaries.

Far more Walton students are people coming in from the three local Fortune 500s (including the Fortune #1) to advance their already good career.
